Used to ride all these byways back in the day!!! It was handy having a mate who was a KCC rights of way officer!!! The best Byway in the country has got to be the Strata Florida in Wales!!! Try that sometime!!!!! Lol.
I've never been on a quad so I was wondering, is it really better to control the throttle with the thumb instead of twisting the grip? The first time I saw that quads work like that I just couldn't believe it, but since I have no idea how they turn I don't really know what the advantage is over the way motorcycles accelerate.
comandosespeciales definitely makes whiskey throttle less of a problem. It's really just a personal preference thing though. I know some guys will switch to twist throttle because they like it better.
Hi I own a 700r and 660. In my opinion stick with the thumb throttle. Tried the twist grip throttle on both my quads, not as much control when hard cornering and standing is very iffy indeed. I'd not go back to a twist style now. You see, quad riding is considered an "Active" ride. Because of the movement of your body across the seat to keep control. So add a twist grip throttle and start pulling on the handle bars going round corners, even on the main road, and again it starts getting a bit tiresome thinking about how you need to approach the corner. Im experienced in riding quads on and off the road, and I am just offering a personal opinion only. Take care
Raptors are beasts when it comes to low and mid end. here in Dubai (UAE) The sand dunes eat up all the power from all types of engines so Low to mid End power is needed to survive. When it comes to Straight drag Race, i have seen Honda TRX450 letting Raptor 700 eat dust. When it comes to Dunes as high as godzillas, thats where 450 owners will only wish they bought Raptor 700 :) Both are great bikes for their own territories. I am stuck in between LTZ400 and Raptor 700. But I will go Raptor 700 way as parts are easy to come by and this bike has a good resale too

So I know im several years late but I bought a 04 ltz in the summer and it ran fine then after like a week of riding it would sputter and shut off. We shimmed the valves and spent probably 750 dollars on stuff that we thought was the problem and we thought we found the problem. It will sputter and backfire and shut off and we got it running rode it for two days and it did the same thing then I tried starting it and it shot a little flame not a backfire then it smelled like smoke or something burnt and it won't start know thanks if you see this
I had a similar problem with my bike would misfire and shut of some times and one day out riding on my own in the middle of nowhere it just shut of and wouldn't start! I changed the ECU and still wouldn't start so I cut open the wiring loom and checked through the wiring and found 2 wires that had rubbed together and was shorting out on each other 🙈 bit of electrical tape and was good as new
@@MidnightCodeYT thanks for replying And good vid we changed the thermo cooling switch and it seems to work. Its not running the best it could but it's better then ever was. But I still might try and look at those wires thanks mate again.stay safe
at 7:19, I thought those were 2 skunks crossing the trail. I had instant panic for the rider. I guess I spent too much time in South Dakota. Does the UK even have skunks?
Nice quad mate, I am looking at buying one soon probably a LTZ 400 Fuel Injection for less engine maintenance.. are these fast enough for off roading and on road? I won't be doing any motorway runs just single and 2 lane roads, country lanes and general green laning.
Mister Ash I Change the oil and filter every 20 hours of ride time works out about three 7h rides apart from that just striping and cleaning the quad and a light coating of wd40. And for the next vid will probably be in the summer it is of the road at the moment as iv just got a 330bhp focus st3 that’s keeping me occupied 😬
DJI phantom 3 videos 10 a green lane (byway) is still classed as a public road so ridding or driving on one without a road worthy vehicle is illegal only place you could drive your off-road cart would be private land with consent from owner
yes i still have it but i have moved house so without a garage the quad it locked up in the garden and i cant get her out on my own i need a lockup but cant afford one

Tomas Muller I'm 28 now with 1yr bike no claims quad has to be chained to a ground anchor in a garage for them to insure me think it's like £300 for the year
Damn that is much in uk. In France for assurance for my adly 300 i payed 30€ a month with theft included. Im 24 and its my first year of having a quad (quad assurance is a other assurance compared to cars so you car bonus doesn't count) But there are 2 online site that assure quads fot 130€ a year. No mather the model a 200cc bashan or 300cc adly but that is just basic if you want theft its 280 euro a year. But im glad i found the 130€ a year option cause thr 30€ a month w as getting expensive.. My car is 60euro cause its a mercedes clk200 kompressor 163hp, bmw and Mercedes are expensive to assure... Now have a triton 450. Im just gonna buy the 130€ assurance for a year. Might upgrade it later.

The Byways near me in Oxfordshire are now nearly all Restricted. The walkers make such a song and dance as you ride by them.
