im definitely not a city fan, but ive always respected kyle walkers honesty in interviews, just like this one. hes remained humble throughout his career.
The only chance england have of winning it is if they play wharton in midfield.

Thats BS though. Club is where you play and work daily. You play 60 games a season for your club, so the club should be valued higher than what you do in a few games on the national team where its mostly about where you are born. Some countries are lucky to have more world class players, therefor some countries have huge advantages, and its actually poor not to have won something with England when you have so many good players to chose from compared to other coumtries.

I've never understood anyone that puts club before country.
The thing that we struggle with most is that international football is fought on a technical level and that suits teams like spain, france and portugal much more than us . We struggle to use physicality and intensity, which makes the premier league so great. We are starting to change as a nation though with technical players like Phil Foden, Bellingham, Cole Palmer
Englands problem is always physicality. We don’t have a proper battler in the squad and that shows when u watch us in games. In desperate need of someone who can crunch

@@unkown5528 maybe, but you also need to consider how Southgate has consistently focused on playing/including players who are 100% committed to England. It’s a major reason my the likes of Rashford and Sancho were left out for Bowen and Eze.
As much as Southgate gets stick for his old defensive tactics (which he has moved away from). He has always made sure players who improve the moral and give 100% are given opportunities and those who are don’t don’t go near the side.
It’s why England have had relative success under him. England have not been dominated in a major tournament game since 2018 against Belgium. Even the two loses against France and Italy came down to clinical finishing (alongside a bit of luck) and pens.
Most players in this England squad want to be there and want to fight to start.

Thank god a premiership player showing he values international football. Much like the fa cup, the euros and even the world cup has been pushed back in the pecking order behind champs league and epl. Probably because England have not really impressed at tournanents even though recently reaching finals and semi finals. Hopefully this will be changed after these euros but I've been saying that for a long time.

I'm an Anglophile, always have been and I generally care about sportsmanship, however, given the massive lack of sportsmanship, class and style displayed by the Brits, medias and fans, not only prior to the game against Italy but throughout the tournament, it troubles me not at all to say that it was delightful to see them crying at Webley. Try to remember that next time you start chanting inane stuff like, ''It's coming home'', particularly when it has never been home. Thank you All for the extra motivation though.
You say youre an anglophile, but youve completely mis understood the song its coming home. Its not about gloating or boasting, its about hope after years of dissapointment, since it was at home and did come home in 1966, contrary to what you said. And the way italian players were singing its coming rome afterwards, was seen as a mockery. You say you enjoyed seeing the english crying after that game because of the song you misunderstood, but that doesnt compare to the hilarity and joy everyone felt when italy lost to north macedonia at home, to a shot outside the box, at the end of the game, to stop italy qualifying for the next tournament. Everyone enjoyed that.
