The “Wheel of the Year” series orients itself on the Celtic Wheel of the Year. This solar calendar shows the time and seasons and is divided into eight sections. Dingle has and is releasing a limited-edition whiskey for each of them (and celebrating the traditional Wren's Day with a bonus dram, too).
Samhain Single Malt
1st release
This limited release honours the Celtic festival of Samhain. This festival of fire and feasting marks the end of bright summer days, and the beginning of the Celtic new year. Samhain Single Malt is inspired by the spirit of Samhain and its significance to our ancestors.
Lá Le Bríde Single Malt
2nd release
This limited release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Lá le Bríde, also known as Imbolg, which marks the beginning of spring and the arrival of brighter, warmers days. Lá le Bríde Single Malt is a tribute to the joy of spring and the celebration of life.
Bealtaine Single Pot Still
3rd release
This limited release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Bealtaine, which marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer.
Bealtaine Single Pot Still is an homage to the arrival of long summer evenings and the Bealtaine fire festival.
Lúnasa Single Malt
4th release
This limited release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Lúnasa, the beginning of the harvest season. Lúnasa Single Malt pays respects to the mother of Lugh, a god of Irish mythology, who is said to have died of exhaustion after preparing Ireland’s fields for farming.
Grianstad An Gheimhridh Single Malt
5th release
This limited release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. Grianstad translates as “the stopping of the sun”, and Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt is a testament to a time of year that is all about the dark of night drawing in.
