      Shah John DNA (deoxyriboneuclic acid) resides on the structure of the chromosome. The DNA is made of of genes and protien (40% protien and 60% genes). The DNA & protie when are seen as whole, form the structure of chromosome.

    Can some explain why the positioning of the centromeres is always situated to the p-arm but not on the q-arm?

      That's cuz p means petite arm, hence the shorter arm is the p arm. Hope this helped :)

      Two different names of the same structure
      Chromatin is the name before it's gets condensed
      We call it chromosome after it gets condensed
