Yea I like in Widnes near the town centre and they don’t really up till 8:30am and never seen it like this before and it’s no one out there so it defo filmed 6am 😅😅

Where there are shops that are open, there’s no potential customers about which proves the point to any potential new businesses that there’s no point in starting up.
The vastly overpopulated United Kingdom is in such a serious state of decline in so many different areas and this mass invasion of immigrants is contributing massively to the myriad of problems we as a nation are now confronted with.

Great town at one time, full of Pubs, great night out. I stilll live here, its pretty quiet compared to some towns, but you can get the train to Liverpool in 20 mins and one to Manchester in 30 , so there is no investment regarding shops here.
not too bad at all.runcorn is a beautiful place.you can pick up an old terraced house for ten bob and see what it was like to live in the early victorian era!i would move there myself but i'm out on licence!i'm not allowed to leave rotherham in case i commit low level crime in other areas!my friend moved there last year but he committed suicide ,two minutes after moving into his new bedsit!i don't know why they don't call it runcorn on sea to make it sound more glamorous!it's a beautiful place,i love the way that they've modelled the town centre on that of stoke on trent, middlesbrough, grimbsy and jaywick.it's a very popular model which the inhabitants love.just look how the trials went, out in diepsloot, mogadishu and soweto.they may even turn runcorn on sea into a gated community rather than the current proposals of a giant landfill site.I tried to go once, many years ago but it was closed.the mayor was having his boots polished.he wanted to look his best for dinner at his grandma's,who he hadn't seen for seventy yeard.he'd only just been rekeased from prison!
As an outsider, the problem with Runcorn is the disastrous ring road its designed around, horrible to move around anywhere not to mention the chemical / petrochemical plants to the left side who wants to breathe all that in?
Used to be packed down there had a buzzing booming large indoor market and a cafe and cracking busway.when markets were on it was packed down there cracking family owned pie shop facing market. This is definitely a Sunday morning, because I live in runcorn all be it on the outskirts nearer frodsham but most of those shops you are filming trade everyday and only close on sundays, try filming mid week and you will struggle for a parking place it's a busy little town.....!!!!
That's good to know as I am hoping to move to runcorn soon. Fingers crossed. I've seen worse than how this vid represents runcorn. As much as there's very little crime where I live atm, try having no takeaways open on a Monday, no transport after 5.30pm,no transport on sundays, no taxis available, a journey from a to b is a mission. No delivery services, and when the shops do open its mainly antique stores, which I call junk shops. They take offence to this, too. There are no main shopping stores near me, and there are no stores that runcorn has available. No good transport available. Yes, it's quiet, but it's like a grave yard. Piss eads and crack eads come out at night, local bingo at the work mans club and balls on the green. So there's always good and bad in every part of different areas.
Does it matter what day its still same everydaywith no major brands in the town just pubs which are closing or struggling too shops shut down like atmosphere resturant old masionic pub there no tourist drive here to attrative wealthy or high income investment needed for it to thrive
Yup, exactly what I was thinking. My stepdad lives in Runcorn, so I know most of the shops shown are still in business. The date of upload would appear to indicate it was filmed around mid-February to early March. With the sun being so low in the sky, it was filmed on a Sunday, either in the morning before most places open or early evening just after most of them have closed.
Most towns have gone down hill in recent years. However, UA-cam vlogers always seem to film these videos on a Sunday morning or on half day closing days which exaggerates how quiet they are.
You Must Off Made This Vid Sunday Or Wednesday Afternoon Most Shops Shut You Did On One Of Them Days To Make It Look Bad And Not Showing How It Is The Rest Of The Days You Should Do The Vid Over Seven Days The Vid Is Crap You Do Not Show Town As it Is Shame On You
Got to have been filmed at 6am on Sunday.
Extactly my thought.

Do the math! This was filmed in February. It's still dark at 6am. Nope sadly this is daytime in a typical British high street! 🫣🤒

Love these videos but they would be so much better with a voice over to give local history, context etc
The utter devastation caused by this shameful Tory government and past Labour governments is unforgivable.
So sad 😢
What level of apocalypse would it take to force the bookies to eventually close?......
Gambling has always been a mugs game.

You've either filmed this before the shops have opened or it was a Sunday
It looks like you just walked around on a Sunday afternoon and cherry-picked all those shops which don't open Sunday. Waste of time.

At christmas they have beautiful lights up in the center of the oldtown where the ferryboat is.

This is not overpopulation. This is the rich exploiting the rest of the country and leaving it with nothing

You know that things went wrong when a Chinese takeaway is closing the shop....
These Towns shops should be made in to Home and Trying building on Good Green Fields
gove is trying to do that now

its got to be Sunday evening.
That's not the true Runcorn, showing shops that are shut on a Sunday morning.

Some of these places look like they've been closed for a long time, give the rust accumulating on the shutters.
Maybe since 2008?
Some of them go back as far as the 90s
I seen a few shut down in the mid to late 90s
Unfortunately Runcorn has been in a steady decline for decades
Nah mate just the old town its been around for about 30 years😂the shops they walk past r still open now besides there is alot more to runcorn its good
I lived in Runcorn for many years and it was a buzzing town. So sad to see!

Runcorn has Shopping City.. where most of the larger chains are .. not sure if that is the ‘proper’ town centre ?
It's the old town, which is the proper town centre. Shopping City is the new town.
shopping city is a nightmare! theres a retail park outside but its hardly classy fare..
They are opening a swingers club

I agree-St Helen’s is a shit dump now.
I survived 14 years in Runcorn growing up. The place needs saving. It's so deprived. I'd you had an outdoor pool there, the water would get stolen.

Just look at all those double yellow lines. No wonder people are shopping online that goes for all of the uk

Far from a ghost town though let’s be honest, you’ve clearly purposely filmed this on a Sunday morning when most of the shops are closed.
