@MooseKnuckLOutdoorZ all depends on the weight class of the rod... I have 2 madkats that I have also snapped the tips on and no they didn't break from me lifting from the tip I was securing lures to them when I was about to got jetski fishing

Been there and done that, hellcats, madcats and multiple other rods like that for catfishing are all thw same they don't have th back bone that us saltwater guys look for for distance casting heavy baits and weights to get 100yd casting
I had a medium, heavy hellcat, went to casted 4 ounce weight snapped off number five high sent it back to catch the fever. They gave me a new one but honestly I’m strictly MAD KATZ now.
They are good rods for the price point for those looking to fish.. but if you're looking for distance and more, then changing up your game is a must

I seen a lot of those Hellcat and Mad Catz rods snap ... To me they are not casting rods ... They are made mainly for boat fishing ... Looking at a heavy rod they bend all the way down ... Heavy rods are not suppose they have a lot of bend ... Those rods are not what they say they are ... They are just pretty ...

I talked to the owner at smoky mountain fishing expo and the one they slam in the tailgate are the BIG CAT FEVER TROLLING ROD MEDIUM LIGHT! False advertisement! I was going to buy one for that reason till he told me that! He said the tips are special made on those rods for trolling!

I broke 2 hell cats exact same spot one medium/heavy lifting a 2 lb flathead over side of boat other was during cast of 10oz sinker heavy action.

Wow a 3 speed reel. Never seen anything like that here in the midwest lol. Pretty cool and expensive but i do understand big investment in youre trade. Im a mechanic and spend idk how many tens of thousands of dollars on tools. Sometimes you just have to buy once and cry once lol.😂

Why grab a rod at the tip? Was the reel attached? The weight down by the reel? Nothing against your customer but something is hokey here.....
He said was just the weight of the rod by itself... and I have grabbed all kinds of rods like that sometimes with reels and not had that happen... but a possibility that maybe the rod had a defect... since it was brand new

I keep having problems with the lock nuts on the seat handle loosening up a little and backing off (threads are not stripped). Should apply some thread locker to the threads before tightening down the nuts?
No cause when you want to clean your reel or spool it or something you going to have trouble getting it off ...

No they broke it while trying to get it out of the truck bed

Different Rods have different actions and yes they should have been more clear on what type of rod was it that they dis in their videos..
Hmmm I use extra-heavy and cast 6-7oz weights, never had an issue
I casted 8oz and 10oz weights with them as well, so no Idea I wasn't there in person.. but still had to share it with everyone..

I have a penn spinfisher 8500 LL that I had to file the foot down in width a little. Once I did that it fit together perfectly

Bait runners disengage with a turn of the handle chief
Yes sir I went and did some homework after the video and learned they do have 2 separate drags systems one for the free line bait and the 2nd engages with the turn of the handle to fight the fish.. so who ever is using it has to set them both up for how they are fishing.
