When I bought the simulator I slowly realized it was a curse with expenses. Although I appreciate the many tutorials online I like many others will never get the hang of it other than just flying. I thought it was more appropriate to ask someone a bit more knowledgeable, what would you recommend as a good starting primer, book or training series, etc. or without taking an online pilot course for the sim, even thou I might. Thank you. 👍☕
The best book I read when I first got started over 15 years ago now (and is still relevant today if you can find a copy of it) is 'microsoft flight simulator x for pilots: real world training'
We had a crash today of a Mooney into power lines on an ILS approach, thankfully with pilot and passenger surviving with minor injuries. That event was a national TV reminder real life is not a game and that brought me back to this video because you are among the best at knowledgeable, clear and detailed tutorials in MSFS. Here is my thought - as soon as more information becomes such as the instrumentation available in that Mooney, the METAR in effect, etc., could you fly this approach so we can see what that pilot had to deal with. The accident investigation is up to the authorities, of course, I am interested in re-creating this flight in MSFS or answer questions like would those power lines, so critical to safety, even be there in the sim?
I'd say there is a decent chance that the power lines wouldn't be there, although it is close to Washington so it's possible. Have you checked out the area yet?
Cool video man I was just wondering if you could show your elevator trim settings? I’m having trouble with mine instead of going up by 0.1% with the trim wheel mine goes up by 1.0% it makes for really large and abrupt changes
@@yessir721 Unfortunately I don’t know much about how to configure that one, sorry! The only thing I can suggest is try the different trim axis, I think there are two of them in the bindings.
Hi Marc, I am about to buy a series x Xbox. Do you know if any of the plane s have steam gauges or can you change a setting so that certain planes have steam gauges? Let me know. Thanks Bob
GREAT video. ALL of your videos are well explained and always are spot on to the title. Thanks! !! !!!
Another amazing video Marc! A lot of detail very clearly explained!
Thank you Stephen! The super chat is very much appreciated as well, cheers.

Yes, if you get the deluxe edition you’ll have a c152 and c172 with steam gauges.
Thanks Marc!!!

Hi Marc, Sorry to bother you again. But do those steam gauges airplanes have IFR capability?
@@robbbonefish6877 You’ll be able to fly ILS, Localizer and NDB approaches.
