So; I worked on just about all the guitars Redd owned that you mentioned, and more, when he lived in Austin for years. He asked me to do some pretty crazy stuff, which I might not have done if it wasn't Redd. Did perhaps 20 refrets for Eric Johnson and David Grissom each ...Local heros. Doesn't matter now. I'm just about retired. I helped REDD try to adjust a clutch on an old Studebaker truck. Helped him move twice. I had Bb-cue in his home. He makes GOOD BEANS! I know him well. Here's the thing about Redd: NO-ONE in Austin has a bad word to say about him. ( can't say the say same about me). His band misses the hell out of him. His fans miss him. Everone in Austin misses him since he moved away. He's always been supportive and friendly / down-to-earth and positive to all the folks who came to his gigs. We both always had a bunch of laughs when he'd come by my shop. We still do, on the phone. As to his music; I've NEVER seen anyone leave his gig without a BIG SMILE, and laughing at his musical jokes. I used to almost never miss a gig. Redd was ALWAYS uplifting to everyone I know, on all levels, in all ways. There you have it. Ed. Austin Texas
