Hi Dave, I know this is nearly a year old but what a great thorough walk through of a Tool I've not really used a lot until now, but I will after watching this. I only probably subscribed to your channel maybe just after this video was released and what Im currently doing is going back through your back catalogue and watching videos I've not seen before. Im finding some real gems in there. Thanks Dave I love your presentation style, it makes for easy learning of subjects.
Thank you for this video, I find it very useful, like all the other content you offer on your channel. I would like to add just one more little tip regarding the quick reset of some tools in Lightroom. In the Parametric Curve you can also double-click on the "Region" label. This way you have the possibility to do a quick reset of the adjustments you have made in the Parametric curve only, so other adjustments you have made in the "Point curves", "RGB channels" remain unchanged. I hope this is useful. Sorry for my bad English.
It's great to see Lightroom improvements and even greater that you explain them to us. Thanks. If you still have a relationship with Nik I would love to see more tutorials about their filters.
LR improving again and again. Thanks Dave. It would be awesome some more videos getting deep on curves 👍 I have a trick for those of you who find that masks in LR are sometimes not as accurate as they should be. We create a sky mask and subtract it. Click on Sky 2 and invert it. I don't know why, but often times the mask becomes a little more accurate. I guess it's a bug in LR that Adobe will fix soon. I hope this helps in case you need it.
Your tutorials are extremely helpful. You both provide what changed and helpful tips on how to use these changes. If I could only watch one Post Processing UA-cam channel, the Joy of Editing with Dave Kelly would be that channel! Thanks Dave!!!
Yet another great tutorial Dave. Lightroom seems to get more powerful by the day. At this rate, we won't need PS, although I think the TK8 panel is pretty awesome and love your TK Fridays. Perhaps you could do a Lightroom Wednesday LOL.
Great video Dave. Very good instruction and understanding of these LR tool functions. Quick question- are these specific features been made available in Camera Raw?
Another very helpful video for me Dave. I find myself using PS less and less as LrC becomes more and more capable of making edits of specific regions in a photograph. I often wonder....how come I can't figure out some of these finer points all on my lonesome. Am grateful that you can. All the best.
Thank you Dave! It's a great tutorial. i just downloaded the lightroom and I don't see the HSL/Color option after the curve. Do you know what might be the reason?
Good morning, Dave. I haven't watched this yet but will later today. In the meantime, I'm curious, given I do not have any long range background historical knowledge regarding Photoshop's evolution, as to what they started out with re curves and levels and where they are at the present moment. I'm thinking that unstandarding the progression over time will both give me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the genius and mindset and artistic goals of the creators of the program and help me - by osmosis - understand some of the ephemeral, salient nuances that, when duty and occasion calls - I will then be able to summon, marshal forth to save my editing day!
Thanks for taking time and explaining things in your verry unique way, I learn far the most watching your videos.
You’re bang on there. Dave has a great way of explaining things. The only channels I watch for LR & PS are Dave and Blake Rudis.

Thanks for the tip.
Thank you, very helpful
Excellent Dave. I wonder how long it would take me to find out all this by accident(if ever)!
Thank you so much, Dave. I read the Adobe announcement, totally misunderstood what they were saying and got lost! This is a great help.

Great tutorial, Mr. Kelly, with useful tips. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil.
