I’m not even ashamed. I don’t even feel bad… I’ve been collect since I was 18… so 20 years… I have 85 bags… and I love them they’re my babies… I have a folder on my phone with me wearing them, so I can see them all and an excel sheet so I can see what’s been worn during them month and how many times. … 😂😂😂

There was a documentary recently where they interviewed very wealthy women. These women are talking about how they no longer buy authentic wallets, but instead choose to buy really good wallets *condup* designer bags they love. They then invest the money they save in other things such as real estate, stocks, etc.
I still love my LV reverse monogram *preluxscom* lutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
The crazy thing is, the quality of authentic bags has been so bad lately, I've seen some fakes that perform better than the authentic bags... which makes you look at it and think: $100 > $5600. That was unfortunate... Fortunately, *condup* gave me a chance to make amends.
Who wouldn’t want to buy the same bag with exactly the same quality and materials at 80% cheaper? Especially with the rise of *condup* , there is no reason to spend more money to buy genuine products.
I am 64 years old and I have a navy blue leather envelope clutch that belonged to my great aunt. It’s probably from the mid-1940s. It’s in excellent shape. The sound of the clasp closing is music to my ears, makes me feel sophisticated and urbane 🙌🏼

You look very comfortable. Also, I really enjoyed your old video guide to shopping in New York - it would be great if you continued the series elsewhere. For example, I'm in a suburb of London but I'm new to *condup* shopping so I don't know where I'm going or what to buy in my city.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have the *preluxscom* as my travel bag and not have to take care of it. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
To be honest, the quality of Chanel bags these days is simply not worth the price. I saw a lot of wear and tear on my new bag. I have a vintage wine from the 1990s that is still superb *condup*

It's always good to buy something you like more. I have a beloved Chanel that is 25 years old and is in lambskin. The other one is also 27-year-old lambskin. They look really good so I'm not really worried about lambskin scratches *condup*

Hi Michele, love your bags. The ones you have stored in the garage in plastic bins, better check on. I just discovered mold on my vintage YSL shoes from being stored in plastic bin. Humidity can get into the plastic.
I just, well not just, but 6 months ago, discovered some mold and had to throw out many leather pieces, clothes, shoes and bags

Try to wipe them writh pure vinegar it removes the mold.
And change how you stor them. 💝🌹🥰
This happened to my neverfull. Luckily, only the lining was affected so I just had to wipe with water for about 5-6 times a day for three days and let it dry each time. Now it looks brand new, but it would’ve broke my heart if it was permanently damaged.

You have an epic bag collection! I don’t own one designer bag. I carry the same logo-less Coach bag every day and get annoyed if I have to change it for a reason. Every time I think about buying a luxury bag, I get analysis-paralysis, meaning I can’t figure out what brand or style to select. I think it’s a great idea to store the bulk of your bags with your clothing.

My bags include fakes and genuine ones. I bought a replica bag at the well-known *condup* . As a second-hand bag, the price is only a fraction of the new bag. I don't want to spend $3,000 on a bag. And there are fakes...
Luna is a true artist and her pieces really start to grow on me
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials-brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 *condup* backpack replica - also good for comparison - I can't find any differences and still use it in the gym
I bought Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week from *preluxscom* I have been using it since I received it and then neglected my designer range (maybe it was the honeymoon period) but I am so impressed by the quality and price deep impression. I wish they would make the same bag in a variety of pinks (i.e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from.

I loved seeing your bags Michele! I don’t have an extra room for my bags (hopefully someday 😜😉) so I try to make room by selling the ones I don’t find myself reaching for or don’t fit my lifestyle anymore. But there’s always some I will never sell like my LV pouchette accessoires or my coach bag from high school. I have some older “it bags” from years past like the Celine nano luggage tote and Chloe Drew but I still love them and there’s no point in selling them because you just get so little money back unless it’s Chanel or Hermes. Even if I only wear them once a year that’s fine with me I love them 🙂
You most likely will find you overpacked for your cruise. Just relax and enjoy the experience, we have been cruising for the past 6 years and love it. You look great in more fitted clothing, the jeans on opening of video look great on you. Thanks for the video
Love that you hold on to your bags. Sometimes seeing them makes you want to carry them 😍... Especially if you are a handbag lover to begin with. There are definitely some bags I have sold that were just too fussy for whatever reason and I was annoyed when I would use them, but most I keep. I remember watching the live with Amy and Kat and you were talking about your bags and all the different collections over the years.
I just came back from a 10 day Caribbean cruise and it was so much fun! My 2nd cruise and it won’t be my last. I love that all the restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance and you get taken to destinations without having to worry about transportation. In my husbands words, “every night is date night” . I have sold hand bags in the past but right now I I don’t have any I want to sell. Prices are so crazy that I am glad for the ones I have, especially Chanel. I would love to see your entire bag collection with your thoughts on each one, No matter how long the video is, I will watch it! 😊
I have been a hand bag “collector” since I could remember. Thanks for sharing your gems and I agree don’t sell. I moved this past year and let go of several vintage handbags ( what I mostly have) and although it was ok at the time , your video brought back memories and had I thought about it more would have kept at least a couple of them. ❤ Thanks for sharing
I totally agree that bag styles come around. I have a lot of contemporary bags and recently some luxury handbags. I go back to my oldest bags quite a lot. They have stood the test of time!
It’s horseshoe bend, and you can see it from above (it’s beautiful) but also kayak the Colorado River down below-I went a couple of years ago and loved it
Michele, what a wondddderrrful handbag memory session! I have only recently been getting into luxury handbags and really appreciate the "shop your stash" kind of vibe this has. Handbags come in and out of style but they don't go bad like makeup and you don't have to worry about fitting into them in 10 years 😂 I would loooooove to see some sort of "handbag memory lane" or even "handbags that have the potential for a comeback". There's nothing wrong with counterfeit fashion products, as long as they're not fragrances, and as long as they sell for significantly less than the actual product from the manufacturer in question. *preluxscom* bags are awesome. Prices are all around $150.

And yes you are right , the cruise itself is like a Vegas casino resort on the water lol . All different styles of restaurants and buffet , gym , massage , pool parties , broadway shows , comedy shows and shopping etc .

I ❤ my bags. I am very careful with them. I store them jn duster bags and use organization pieces from The Container Store to help them stand up and remain organized. I still have and use my first bag, a LV Speedy that I purchased in Paris in 1986. When considering a new bag, I always reflect on two things: 1 Will I love and use this forever. And 2. will it fit my smallest umbrella which is 7” long. I never leave the apartment without an umbrella. The 7” is of a SOS option and I will hand carry a larger knee if its raining. But if its sunny, the 7” is still with me. You never know when a popup shower will happen
I have a hobo style Gucci bag that I bought in 2009, the gold hardware still looks like new, only have a few small colour transfer spots at the bottom of the bag. So far I have two bags that over 15 years old and I still love them. I did purchase two new bags in 2022 but have only used them a handful of times. Hoping to wear them this summer.

I totally get it! I have a vintage Bottega backpack purse - not woven - that I never use and stare at and wonder it I should purge then decide to keep it. Same with a very small Burberry blue satin cocktail bag… they are not hurting anyone! They stay!

My bags stay anything else is negotiable. Somehow picking each of them up remembering where and why i bought them makes me smile. The jewelry shoes makeup and fashion i don’t mind parting with but my bags are a no go. 😊

One thing I keep thinking about watching you go through some of your older bags is "wow I think if I had a collection spanning so many years I would love to have it properly stored and taken care of". Not to put your current organization/care of them down at all. Your bags look to be cared for decently well and I'm in no place to judge. However, I propose that as you go through ostensibly all of your bag collection: it may be worth to categorize them in a "better" way that makes sense to you. I suggest (if possible) you take the time to fill some of the bags that can get misshapen over time. If there are older bags that need a refresh, then maybe invest in getting them refurbished. Another thought I had was: (considering some of these bags are more of art pieces at this point) maybe put some of them into shadowboxes and have them placed as artwork in some parts of your home? I hope you take this all as food for thought! I am excited to see more of your collection in any way you decide to show us :)

Just got back from Alaska cruise trip and it was amazing ! Did a helicopter ride to the glacier mountains and walked on the ice , did the white pass train ride up to the top of the snow mountain .. so much fun !!!

I have two LV bags that I'm on the fence about keeping: my mini capucines and my empreinte pochette metis. I never use them and if I'm honest I've fallen a bit out of love with LV at the moment. I know they're pretty classic, but I just keep thinking about what I could rotate them out for.

I am so with you on the bags! I always loved roses and I bought a Valentino red bag with a giant rose on the front and some Armani slingbacks with rosettes 20 years ago and guess what’s back in style now, rosettes! I have worn them over the years even when they were not trendy and honestly they are so classy and well made that I always received compliments on them and I’ll never get rid of them. I’ll pass them on to my boys wives when the time comes 😊

I have a few bags on the “chopping block” to be sold: a mini Prada backpack from 2001, a leather Prada hobo from around 2005/2006, a YSL small Kate bag (which is too small for my phone and in like-new condition), and a small Balenciaga crossbody that I never wear. My Speedy 35 was on the list, but your video made me want to wear it again! 😂 I have the version with the crossbody strap which I love, but I do wish I had gotten the 30 or even the 25. I live In my LV MM totes now and just throw a smaller bag inside, so I hardly ever wear other bags in my collection.
Like you, I love my handbags. I still remember spending my first allowance on a bag, LOL. I think styles are cyclical. I inherited some small woven Bottega Venetta bags from my mother-in-law (I'm 69) and I am using them now, what were long shoulder straps then are now usable as crossbody. Great design never goes out of style. Fendi is still selling that baguette design from decades ago and it is still going strong. I own one in brown leather and use it often.

This summer I'm going to the Isle of Man for my holiday. I'm in the UK so it's nor far for me but it's somewhere I've always been intrigued to visit. I've also decided not to fly and instead to get the ferry over. Going on my own little adventure. lol.

It seems a convenient way to cover a lot of areas, but I don't think I want to see the same people for weeks! This summer we are going to Northern Spain - San Sebastian, Bilbao, Santander, Asturias and Galicia. Can't wait for all the gastronomy, the wild coast and the picturesque villages.

I have the LV Neo Noe bucket bag that is too big for my lifestyle now. But….if I were to get grandchildren someday….then it will be handy. Plus, I use it on the rare occasion that I need to take more with me. For the most part though, it’s just sitting there. Keep?

I decided during the COVID pandemic that I wanted to get rid of most of my luxury bags and I did through The RealReal. For me the reason was to simplify my life and not have so many things that I just don't need. And also I have a small house. You on the other hand have lots of room for lots of bags and you do seem to feel nostalgic about your things. Its very sweet.
I have 2 purses. 1 brown, 1 black and just switch them out depending on the time of year. I spend $150 on each and will carry them til they are worn out. I would love to purchase a designer bag, yet could never afford even a small one😮
