That's how most of my fights have looked haha. They do work.
combination of deflective armor, permanent +1 attack advantage, and Odachi. In Imperial the yari upgrade also destroy cavalries.

speaking of walls, with the wall update that can use resources and buildings to complete the wall, i would have expected that the building layout should be different, kinda like aoe2, there would be very minimal wood save, but u might as well make use of the mechanic i think
With how defences 🛡 work in this game, I would think false raids (on top of normal ones) might be really good.
The defences like the slowing down walls and outposts, mean a lot of idle time and focus needs to be spent on getting the defences defending.
So, just falling back after that starts could be a lot of value. Especially as the game 🎮 has relatively complex macro, where that attention could be very valuable.
Once thing to note is the camel lancer has 20 less health than a knight, and don’t do as much damage on the quick charge, so would still probably lose to in castle to rus or French knights.
And also lose to japanese mounted samurai as well as to the infantry samurai because their more powerful charge gets countered by the deflective armor. I made the mistake of massing them in an FFA and wondered why my army kept beeing deleted by the japanese...
Have you actually looked at the dmg decrease? It's not enough
@@magnumsxs I heard in another aussie video that the dmg reduction is applied before armor, so its more.
I ran some numbers yesterday and camel lancers beat vanilla knights by quite a bit. (They also have better attack speed)

Sheep under the TC are amazing in case the enemy raids and you want a super safe way of gathering food.
if you are having doubts about free resources, you have bigger 'attittude' problems to handle than one question can handle 😋 (in the context of online pvp ofc, not personally lol).
You just want to relentlessly go after every opening your opponent leaves and every cheap advantage you can leverage against them. And sheep is both.
Try em against Malians they get hammered specially if they get the gunners

I'm no conqueror but I think the ayyubids were played a bit poorly here. He could've built a mangeniq or two since around minute 15 to deal with the spears and never did, even tho he didn't even need a workshop
I dont think the lancers were the right call for Ayyubids as a primary unit. They are too expensive and get hammered easily with cheap spearmen
I would much prefer it if you didn't turn off the UI during big fights but leave it on throughout the cast.
The Ayyubids are such a trashy early spam civ like the English. It's so annoying. But eventually, you CAN'T BEAT THE SAMURAI, BABY!
I've been experimenting with throwing up a barracks in Dark Age so that by the time I hit feudal and get the Samurai upgrades, I'm already raiding my opponent with a few samurai. It's gotten a couple resigns in under 11 minutes at Plat 1 level.
is samurai raid better than ona busha or whatever she is called? :D i've been spamming them with very mixed results, sometimes i make a mistake in micro and they get obliterated by the tc
