Great tutorial; I used to work with a function or shortcut in finale software which would allow you to enter musical notation without applying actual rhythm, then you could go back and apply the rhythms by tapping on the spacebar; I was wondering if you could give me some help on that thanks.

Terrific! BUT I need a legend for NotePerformer's nonpitched percussion sounds. Do I have to build it from scratch? Using ScoreManager to switch your template to NP Basic Orc Perc produces a terrible result. Most note are not in the Map and are placed way below the staff. For example Midi Note 37 doesn't show - even tho it is in NotePerformers; manual as existing in the Orchestral Percussion

Great lesson. Quick questions; Is it possible too loop a measure ? *not repeat tool. Also I can't seem to select a measure and start my play back from there, so every time I play back the music it starts at the beginning. Thanks

Hello. Maybe it is possible too loop in newer versions of Finale than mine: Finale 2014. But in my 2014 version you may specify the desired measures (start and stop) to play just that section, but you have to click on the play button each time to hear it once. Because it is only possible to enter no other numbers than 1 in the repeat dialog box. You find this at the Playback Settings (which is next to the tempo 120 on the menu)
