+Roy Phenk Hi Roy. I love mine. It's big and heavy, but it's very sharp. Make sure that you get the TCL-X100ii. Although exactly the same as the First version, it contains small magnets which will activate the menu switching the camera aware of the lens so you don't have to change it in the menu, like with older versions.
Should I get this as my only camera? I love taking landscapes and everyday reportage. I just like the idea having the camera with me at all times due to its small form factor.
+Aaron Chew this is a great camera for what you described. There is also a lot of accessory capability with this system. I'd say go for it, I did! Cheers:)
Hey Robert I want to ask and I would really appreciate if you could tell me how long does it take to charge up the flash EF-X20 in between the shots. I have read that it takes up to 6second which is, for me as a wedding shooter, unbelievable huge amount of time that would costs me a lot of shots. Thank you for your answer.
+Michal Zaťko Hi. It can take that long when batteries begin to run out. I figure that I get about 50 pops or more at full power before I begin to see the regular recyle time of about 2 seconds begin to get longer than that. Keep in mind that I use this flash and camera combo all the time and it hasn't caused me any issues at a wedding. Of course, at a full day wedding I probably only shoot 800 raw images. I'm not a machine Gunner if you know what I mean. Also remember that the leaf shutter makes a lower power of flash more powerful (maybe a better word would be useful) because you can use the flash at higher shutter speeds. So adding Full (1/1) power flash on 1/125 sec is the same as adding 1/16 at 1/1000 sec (assuming everything else was the same). So you can see how much more useful the flash would be when used on a leaf shutter. Imagine if you needed to be at 1/1 power and 1/1000 sec. That's almost powerful enough to overcome bright daylight. In fact, if you add in the ND filter, you can shoot in conditions where you would need 1/8000 sec using F2, the 3 stop ND filter, and 1/1000 second then add in full power flash and completely black out the sun so that only Flash is illuminating the subject. These make for some seriously interesting shots. You can do all that with the EF-X20. Of course, it's guide number is 20, so imagine the capabilities if you used a flash with a Guide number of 58. Wow. In any event, maybe you should check out my video about the EX-X20. It may help you get a better feel got this flash. It pretty much stays attached to my x100s. If you're using the TCLX100 then you will need the EF-X20. Otherwise the built in flash is blocked by the adapter. Cheers.
+Tomislav Miletić Hi. My point here is that I use focus and recompose all the time with this camera at f2 and don't notice much focus drift. Adding the TCLX100 makes the focus drift more noticable. Thanks for the comment.
This is a great still camera- not so good for video. I've tried using it and it's been ok, but I noticed a lot of video artifacts. The T and F versions are a lot better, specifically the F.
Well, that may be. I would expect that different copies may work differently. I gave you my experience. Others may vary. Buy one and check it out and let me know.
Hello. Thanks for your comment, but I disagree. Here's why: You wrote: " 1:3.5 THIS IS F. F IS NOT 2.0 IT IS ACTUALY 3.5. " However, that's not what is actually on the lens. What is on the lens is 135/50mm. this is very different. 135/50mm refers to the adaption settings. It means that when used the lens will offer a field of view equivalent to a 35mm lens at 50mm focal length. As is standard for lens adapters, the numbers tell what the lens will act like when used on the camera. In this case 135 refers to the 35mm film format (see this Wikipedia article here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/135_film ). The 50mm refers to what focal length the adapted lens will show. Fujifilm explains this in their description of the lens adapter. It reads as follows: "TCL-X100 attaches directly onto the FUJIFILM X100 / X100S and increases picture taking versatility by multiplying the fixed focal length by approx. 1.4x, converting it from 23mm(equivalent to 35mm on 35mm format) to a 33mm(equivalent to 50mm on a 35mm format) fixed focal length, and it achieves the minimum working distance of 14cm." You may reference this link for the above quote in context: www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/accessories/lens/conversionlens/x100teleconversionlens/ As you see, Fujifilm is directly comparing their APSC lens to an adapted 35mm lens, therefore, their description of the adapter is accurate when they write 135/50mm. Also, Fuji confirms f2 as the native aperture of the adapter on their specifications page showing light transmittance data from the adapter when used at f2. Please reference this page for more detail: www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/accessories/lens/conversionlens/x100teleconversionlens/specifications/ Finally, We must address that you added information in your original post. You claimed that the lens was "1:3.5 ". That marking is not found on the lens. The marking found on the lens IS 135/50mm. Adding a colon between the 1 and the three makes the number a ratio. As we have seen, it's not a ratio. 135 is the format equivalent that the adapter changes the lens into. 50mm is the focal length at the adapted format equivalence. Cheers, Rob

Thanks for the review. I love taking portraits and I believe TCL-X100 will be a great addition to my Fuji X100F.

Best rev on the TCL yet. Thanks, mate.

Focus drift will always occur if you focus and recompose on big aperture, no matter what camera you use...

You can always move the focus points to where you want them using the little joystick button, thus no need to recompose and worry about focus shift.
Where did you get the half case from ?
+BiDinh78 Hi. I got the Half case from BnH. It's the OEM one made by Fuji.
Check out the Gariz case. $20 more by I think it is worth the extra $$.
Hi. Is this camera good for video?
This is a great still camera- not so good for video. I've tried using it and it's been ok, but I noticed a lot of video artifacts. The T and F versions are a lot better, specifically the F.
Saw the F at a ridiculously good price. I think I'm going to get it.
That setup with the flash looks like a Contax system hahah
I talk about that in one of my other videos. I really think that Fujifilm drew heavy inspiration form Contax. Great choice if you ask me.
Several other reviewers like Samuel Streetlife have said there’s no difference in the AF when using the TCL with X100F.
Well, that may be. I would expect that different copies may work differently. I gave you my experience. Others may vary. Buy one and check it out and let me know.
Dude, take a look at TCL-x100 and see: 1:3.5 THIS IS F. F IS NOT 2.0 IT IS ACTUALY 3.5. Still, thank you for review =)
