Bro literally everyone who does their own piercings hates the feeling of ur being right before the skin to exit and be through and the insane crunch to push as hard as you can in the SAME DIRECTION applying pressure to the other side so it can be a clean puncture. Pain just goes away it’s lit pure determination bc like, cmon, I made it this far

Rose Anderson You might have Vasovagal Syncope. It’s very common in younger/middle aged people and basically means you pass out easily in high-stress situations. I would recommend that you not pierce yourself, but I can’t force you not to. Take deep breaths, sit down or lay down, elevate your feet, and/or put your head below your knees.
I'm a piercer myself and ive always done my own even before I had my cert. So what that is is adrenaline , which can make you shakey, pale and alot more. Just close your eyes and breathe deep when this happens. And make sure you study and use the right equipment if you MUST do it yourself. Stay safe x

How bad did it hurt on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the most excruciatingly painful...obviously)? I have personally pierced by myself both sides of my nose, septum, frenulum, smiley, both of my nipples, tongue, both sides of my belly button, & industrial. Could I handle it?
Pierced my own helix and upper lobe I got a little scared so I took the helix out the upper lobe is healing kinda good but gonna buy better needles and remake the helix! (DO NOT RECOMMEND)
If you do your conch at home be prepared for massive hella stinging. I did mine and ughhh it fucking sucked so so so bad. I mean my industrial took the cake with pain but it still sucked

My rook was painful for like 2 seconds, and is stil throbbing a bit, I can't even imagine in how much pain you were. Also: no gloves? No sterilisitaion? LITERALLY JUST PIERCING YOUR ROOK YOURSELF??? It would be a better idea to even just call someone, a family memeber or a friend, to do it for you, and the ideal variant would obviously be to wait until you can go to a piercing studio. Even piercing your lobes at home is aa bad idea, let alone rook. It's never worth it: the risks and the pain are a lot greater than satisfaction you get, compared to a piercing done by a professional.

I have a lil tip for you, what you can do to make piercing more comfortable is to lube the needle with vaseline xx
Love it, I got my rook a couple of months ago and it has been my hardest piercing to heal. So I hope yours does better than mine :)))

Just don’t pierce your self. You’re probably having a panic attack of somesort but I’m only going 14 so I’m no professional.
