In a way, Hogan’s lie actually did work. I mean Taker had the belt for 6 days before he dropped it back to Hogan. After that he didn’t win the belt again until Wrestlemanaia 13 which would have been over 5 1/2 after his match with Hogan. To me, this sounds like Hogan used this lie on other backstage officials and Vince McMahon to make it sound like Taker was dangerous in the ring and as a result his title reign got shortened.

I'm so sick of these cry babies who just have to bring Cena burying Nexus is selfish.
I'm gonna ask, even when Nexus was on full fledged TV program, how many of them did you think were actually main eventers or actually had potential to be the best or next top guy.
Lemme answer that for you,No one.
If you still think Cena completely buried everyone in the Nexus then Bray Wyatt should have been forgotten too but he didn't cause he reinvented himself but no other in the Nexus had that charm and charisma or brains to actually be unique, each and everyone of em acted same and just went with anything.

@@dreamingsymphonyi agree. Look at Ryback and Bryan. They were bigger than Nexus(especially Bryan), because they worked alone. Barret just didn't made it. Look at other members. One of them was working alone as a jobber, for almost a decade.

@@Randomaccount9470 Bret screwed Bret and that is the truth. He didn't want to make business and was set to leave for WCW, didn't listen to anyone. In case of Nexus, Cena buried the group. Bryan and Ryback were kicked out at the very start so had time to reinvent themselves. I could easily see Barret as World champ much more than Swagger, Khali, Jinder, Big Slow, Cena (for the xteenth time) or Del Rio (who was an ok heel at the time)
As for the rest, Heath Slater proved he is a great talent, easily capable of being mid card guy, Justin Gabriel could be decent tag act. As for McGillicuty and later Curtis Axel, this is the funniest thing as I truly believe, he didn't get over because of his awful rural-Russian-style cheapest ever haircut and his belly which he never ripped. He just looked as cheap local enhancement talent
But history showed us First class of NXT had to fail to pave the way for the true 2nd class of NXT which was The Shield and Wyatt Family

Bret made everyone look good no matter what and The Rock seemed to enjoy giving and was willing to drop a title to anyone, and his programmes with lower card guys was such fun, like the one with The Hurricane.
