Wds studios is one of best decisions I ever made as a gamer. I am going to school for a phd in military history and have loved military history since I was little. Naturally, wds is perfect fit for my interests. So blessed to have access to them, especially at their price! Ty wds and rip John tiller, aka the wargaming GOAT
Actually squad battles red victory inspired me to write my master's thesis on non-German soldiers on the eastern front... got me into phd school and professors said to shop a version of it for publication.... guess I have to thank wds for helping me accomplish all that too!
Thank you LT Gaming and WDS for supporting our Wargamers community. I have been wargaming for over 60 years and these games help to keep my mind active, keep up the great work guys.
They put out some great games. I have been a wargamer since before games were available on PC. Your reviews and information on what's worth a look is invaluable. Thank you for this.
In my humble opinion the best series is the Panzer Battles Series as it bridges the gap between the Campaigns and Squad Battles in terms of scale so you get tactical options with a greater scope of higher level OPs. Hits the sweet spot for me.
Thank you for covering such niche games. You have allowed me to get into games that I'd never would have heard of anywhere else. I actually 'discovered' some Sitherine games because of this channel! Field of Glory (and also Kingdoms!) for example.
I have been looking at the WDS titles for awhile now, but was put off by the apparent complexity….HOWEVER, I played the Panzer Battles Demo last night for a few hours and was pleasantly surprised…it was easier to get into than I thought. I will be looking at trying Battles of North Africa 1941…my favorite WW2 theatre. War Over Vietnam looks pretty interesting as well! I find the LT Gaming videos very insightful and you are well spoken, which is a breath of fresh air (and not annoying AI)! Kudos to you!
I've never met the guy that called you "LT Santa"... But legend has it he can outmaneuver Napoleon in a wargame while serenading Juliet with poetic lines. Imagine the tactical mind of Alexander the Great, the romantic soul of a 21st-century Casanova, and the poetic prowess of Lord Byron, all rolled into one. They say he's the hero every video game needs and the romantic protagonist every love story deserves. Strategist by day, virtuoso poet by night, and the quintessential charmer in between. He's the renaissance man of our digital age. PS: Thank you for the awesome video, LT... Never played this games before, but thanks to your videos and your awesome community on discord I learn more and more about wargames. PPS: Code name "LT Santa" 😂
I currently own 28 WDS games, predominantly WWII Pzr Campaigns Series, and the scope of the battles/campaigns is pretty comprehensive, covering various periods. The fact that they're constantly improving/updating, and even adding new scenarios is an ongoing bonus as far as I'm concerned. The regular bi annual sales and the weekly reduced games, are regular inducements to try other periods too. The UI, while dated, is pretty common to all games, so making it easier to pick up and dive into games of the various periods/styles covered.
Awesome! Id really like to win one of these games as I have never tried them. Very keen on the Civil War and Waterloo title that you featured. Great to see these games :)
OK, that was really interesting. The Vietnam air campaign mode reminded me of an old game that lets you play out a conflict in the Middle East with your aircraft carrier and airbases close to Sudan and Jemen. That's where I learned the difference between CAP and CAS missions or something.
Excellent summary LT. keep up the great work. Would be very interested in trying out the Korea 85 game and the Waterloo game. Maybe I’ll make them stocking stuffers !!
I haven't actually bought a WDS game yet. I've tried one of the panzer battles demos, which was great. Just have so many games already that buying more is almost overkill. That said, I'd love to try a WDS full game.
Their games are great. The one I like the most is the Leipzig one. It is great to play the entire campaign and not have to worry about the cat taking out the Prussian Army. Luke you are great 😂
Luke, you’re wonderful! 😂 Just wanted to remind anyone sitting on the fence about these games, there is a selection of excellent free demos on their website 👍
hey I love WDS and do have my eye on the Waterloo title, I also have the Leipzig Napoleonic one, as well as 2 of the Civil War modules and a couple of the WW2 titles.

Nice that they cover lesser represented conflicts - might have to expand my areas of interest beyond 20th century conflict.
HUGE fan of Squad Battles...
Kudos to WDS for keeping Mr. Tillers great titles alive! Grognards heaven…..
Those are some interesting hardcore games there, thank you for showing them to people.

Nice video, I'm going to take advantage of the winter sales to increase my catalog of WDS games.
