      @@ThinkMediaTV I always wanted to see the work process that is behind a solid video , we all see the final product but i dont think many people actually understand how much work goes behind it. I would absolutely LOVE to see how a video gets built from ground up from getting an idea over writing a script to filming and editing (With little quality of life tips sprinkled in). I think a one good video from you with concrete advices like in this one would make a lot of people stop procrastinating and actually dive into their own projects. I don't know if that type of video would be something you'd be willing to make but i appreciate you asking for a feedback.

    Suggestion for lighting @ 5:30. Noticed that your ceiling is white/light color, try bouncing your light source off the ceiling coz your present set-up is All light on your R & darker on your L. Or change your seated position & bounce your light off the bureau(?) mirror, evening out light/dark spots....

  • @NP-tf8tl
    @NP-tf8tl Місяць тому +1

    Nice video. One feedback I have is you haven't covered HOW to actually adjust the light. The monitor on the camera can give a false idea of the picture's balance. Similarly, seeing the picture on laptop screen is also not going to give you an accurate picture. So what data should you look at to get the right balance of light and shadow is the key to a good picture.

    In the video you talk about getting a good SD card. At time code 1:23 I am not sure if you mention the repeated use of the SD card. That is, you download the footage and then wipe to use for new footage. Is that something you recommend? Or should I simple have hundreds of SD cards with saved footage? I use SSD storage to save the footage I want to keep.

    • @NatesFilmTutorials
      @NatesFilmTutorials Місяць тому +1

      Yep! You can format your sd card to delete everything off it after you transfer to an external drive like an SSD. That’s actually the recommended way to do it and ensures you won’t get any corrupt files.

    Great video, I am really curious about the room setup. It seems like everyone sets it up so they sit in the middle of the room…that seems so unnatural to me, do you think it’s important to do that? If so, why? Most of the time, when people are sitting, they sit along the edges of a room, and I want to set up a studio room where I never have to move things around. Of course, if everything is in the middle of that room, it becomes a lot less useful as a room, so just debating whether it makes a difference…

    I've heard that condenser mics aren't ideal for untreated room. you suggested condenser mics but your room looks untreated. what do you have to say about that?

    • @ThinkMediaTV
      @ThinkMediaTV  Місяць тому +1

      You’re right-condenser mics can be more challenging in untreated spaces. However, with the right setup, any mic can sound much better. For a budget-friendly setup like this, especially for talking-head videos, proper positioning and technique are key to getting good results, even in an untreated room.
      That said, you’ve made a great point-I’m still working on improving my space, and it’s a process. But it’s also important to acknowledge that not everyone has access to a perfectly treated room, so I aim to show what’s possible with what you have. Thanks for the feedback-it helps me improve and better address these details in future videos!
