This video was made to more clearly explain how these rod dryer chucks work. I didn't really explain much in my previous video, I just showed myself using them. I had a few questions asked about them by customers so I figured I would make a video that goes into more detail.

Any plans to sell the STL files? I'd rather buy your .STL's to justify my 3d printers than waste filament on the several incomplete designs floating around.
I am not selling the files. If you spend some time playing around with Tinkercad, you could probably create your own design. I actually started out using Tinkercad on the design of these jigs but I ended up making slightly better versions using FreeCAD but FreeCAD is much more difficult to learn.

I bought one of the rod building kits from mud hole last year. The CRB kit to be specific. Will your Chuck replace the one on the CRB? I’m building surf rods so, your Chuck would be perfect being that surf rods are larger in diameter. The one on the CRB kit gave me a fit when it came to drying rods.
Yes it should work just fine. Mine will work with 1/4" or 7mm motor shafts that have a through hole in them to pin the chuck to the motor shaft. Thanks for checking with me and please let me know if you have any other questions!
