I use an Amazon planner in this size. I love it! Simple, easy to use. And no where near the price of Hobonichi.
I write in my planner every morning and every evening.
Okay I’m loving that Sweet Freckle one! Love the chunkiness and that there’s a notes page for each day 😍 makes so much sense in my brain!
OMG yes to having to use stickers instead of writing in thank you for voicing opinions that sometimes I feel guilty for - but they are so valid!!!

good mindset about the journaling!
I've come to a similar mindset about hopping between my planners. (not guilting myself for switching things up when I feel like it) Instead of trying to find planner peace, whatever that might mean, I try to just use what works for my current season in life. Planner needs change a lot over time. Planners are functional, but they are also my hobby so using a lot of them and not worrying about if it is THE best system for me is so freeing and I am having so much fun!

I have watched this so many times. So I’m back again. Want to use a weeks as a symptom/chronic disease health planner.
Looking for one that truly lies flat. I don’t mind “coaxing” the pages, but would be really nice to have a lay flat weeks.
I’ve found all of the fabric ones to lie flat very easily!

I learned about the SFD Weekly Diary after they were unavailable. 😢 It's PERFECT for my self created system. It would completely solve the one issue I have with trying to put monthlies and weeklies in my cut down stalogy and not run out of blank pages before the year is out. Stalking her site!!!

I can't fill in my own calendars either although the sweet freckled design looks like a possibility to give it another try .
I just lack patience. 😅 But her planner is a great option for those who want to try!
Oh and I LOVED those planners. I always felt special when my grandma picked me up one!
For 2023 I went with Sterling Ink Common planner. It's a B6. A few years ago I was thinking about a Hobonichi Weeks (but not ready to commit) I got an inexpensive set of stencils that included the calendar and the week layout and that worked great. That helped me decide to give Hobonichi Weeks a try. I like to add some decoration and little photos so I hope the B6 size will give me a bit more space but still be portable.

It’s a bit bigger, but I’m going to try the dated weekly + memo from Traveler’s Company! Size isn’t a huge deal for me as someone who uses “backpack purses,” thankfully. If you use the clear Keep A Notebook (A5 Slim) covers, you don’t need the added bulk of a leather cover which is nice!
It’s a weird nitpick, but I really dislike how the fabric exterior of the Weeks does not like having stickers attached to it. A big part of my journals and planners is always decorating the covers with my fav things from the year. I wish I would have loved the Weeks, but I had similar issues with smearing and I get irked by the ghosting as a gel pen girlie. 😅
Also a gel pen lover. It seems the newer TRP does a bit better with gel so it may be worth trying in 2025. I use the interior of the cover to slap my planner stickers down, and then the back inside cover for unplanned stickers.
Aura Estelle has a great Weeks-sized planner. It has the weekly layout page followed by one daily page per week.
I love it and can't wait to start using mine in December.
I ended up not choosing that one even though I loved the way it was done because I don’t need a daily. It is super nice though!
Aura Estelle is awful. Their leather feels hard and brittle. Very disappointed in them.

That is great there’s a shop that cuts down. It is a bit expensive compared to Amazon’s Stalogy prices, but paying for a service is great. TFS. Really thinking about getting an A5 cut to Standard.
Yes, to me it’s worth it to not worry about wasting a planner!

I haven’t tried it but I heard Staples/OfficeMax also cuts them down. I would rather pay Amazon prices and get it cut at Staples. Just another option.

Hobinichi weeks is the best, I think, no need to preplan.
The best pen to use is the Uniball RTS 0,1. Fast drying, no smearing on tomoe river paper. Highly recommend
