For better results, fry them, refreeze them, and then fry a second time. Similar to how potato chips get more fluffy and crunchy, cheese sticks will get a nice crunch after the second frying.
I make garlic butter and wrap cheese in a slice of bread just like i would make grilled cheese and they turn out damn good if anyone is looking for minimal quickest option. Just put some butter, garlic salt and minced garlic in a pan. Let it melt a bit on low and roll them cheese wrapped puppies around like a couple breakfast sausages until crispy and bam! Grilled cheese sticks!
