Cut portion sizes, or increase prices, but either/or only slightly. If you think you have good, comparable pricing, then just slowly reduce, but not too far. Your favourite customers are used to your current portion sizes. If they suddenly feel they're not getting their money's worth, they'll start looking elsewhere. Unless they're addicted to your food, and then it's a minor grumble about sizing, but they still order. It's a fine edge to dance, I'm afraid
How's your marketing? It's worthwhile to try and get with the times so to speak by jumping on tiktok and things like that to boost sales. I've seen restaurants go viral bc of it and their sales triple/quadruple.
you should really be intimately aware of how much food you're giving, how much it's costing you, and how much you're charging. Like it shouldn't be a mystery why you're struggling
The large portions are usually the cheapest products for them to produce so be careful of the over charge all have done in the last coupe years. Places like this have made money for decades using pasta as a low cost high profit sauce and pasta . Double edged sword. I stopped going to multiple spots because the pandemic greed hit and they all keep running w it because of clueless high $ kids paying double plus for anything because its delivered.
Speaking for myself, I'm perfectly aware of portion sizes with prices. If I find one that does not skim or is generous, I'd be impressed so don't think it doesn't get noticed!
I get it- as with any type of food, there is just ✨magic✨ when you find a place that cooks and seasons their food perfectly to your tastes. Not so easy to find as one would think. All the stars must align.

Free bread is not even called “free” bread here in Turkey bc if you order Turkish food, bread is always free. It is very often that restaurants send some pickles, salad, and a small bite size dessert along with your 3$ food order.

I am surprised they didn’t have Tiramisu for dessert, which is my absolute fav! 😋 The lemon cake could be Limoncello layer cake with a lemon curd and mascarpone icing. The marinara vinaigrette salad dressing sounds delicious! 😋
I promise you..if youre ever in the White Rock area.. Tey Tonys's Pizza & Pasta.. they have chicken francese and i add capers to mine..freaking my FAVE.. and dont skimp on the mussels in their somewhat spicy marinara...and if you dont want the mussels..you can just ask for the marinara side thats made with the mussels.. mind blowing!

The soup is minestrone! I just made it in a cookery class yesterday haha. You can make like 6 litres of it for like $6
It’s also a soup that’s meant to help “clean out your fridge,” so you can use leftover veggies. Lots of customization options.
