  • I love my Bulldog Brewer all-in-one system. I love it so much that when I learned that it had a big brother out there, I had to get one of those too!
In this video I will give you a quick tour of this brewing system as I walk you through making a Marzen or 'Oktoberfest' beer. I talk the pros and cons of this system whilst giving a few comparison points between the Master Brewer and the original system. As I walk through the brew I will also give you some quick tips to make your brew day run even more smoothly whilst using this piece of kit.
The new high-powered homebrew pump and the incredible brew controller are among the upgrades that have been made to an already awesome system. If you're serious about homebrewing then this piece of equipment should be on your radar.

Another great vid, thanks. I went smaller scale rather than bigger. Sold my old Grainfather 30L system, and bought a HopfenGott 15L system. It's almost identical to the Bulldog brewer in your earlier vid (but smaller obviously). I've only done one brew on it, but am very pleased with it so far.

There`s so many one kettle systems out there. It`s hard to keep track of them. Cheers

Without the bazooka filter does the pump not clog? I have the original bulldog, original tiny pump too...

Thanks for the video which helped me choose the bulldog brew master and get me through my first all grain brew! I had issues with the pump struggling to get any pressure when drawing from the Brew master. On clear up I found the bazooka so clogged I think it might have been at fault. Interested to see you not use the bazooka. Have you had problems with the pump getting blocked? Thanks in advance.

Jim, nice brew vid... you don't mention any of the issues with the controller which I picked up in my first brew with this system ie maintaining a rolling boil? Has the controller been upgraded at all? Cheers

For safety reasons, it's not recommended to lift or shift a full vessel using the handles.

Thanks for this video. I just started with home brewing last September, and did my first brew with this system yesterday. The boozaka filter was a pain as you mentioned 😂. I was wondering do you use any sort of bag or mesh for your hops or do you just chuck them directly in? Also the cooling took me nearly an hour so I was wondering if I was not doing something right there? Am I ment to be having the pump running during cooling to recirculate the wort? Thanks again.

Can I ask another newbie question? If so here goes...... Step 1 I've set to get my strike water to 76 at which point I start adding my grain and doughing in. Step 2 is my 60 min mash at 66 but it takes ages to drop down to 66 degrees. Does this matter or should I reduce the mash time to take this into account? 🤔🍺Cheers

I think the issue is the pricing. It's not as good as the grainfather connect which is about £100 more but it's not as cheap as the robobrew which is nearly £200 cheaper. Without the Bluetooth and customer support of grainfather it is hard to justify.

Unless, the electronic water heater has step mashing capability and it can raise mash temperature to the next higher temperature rest within 10 minutes, which produces pseudo ale and lager, the water heater will be fine for producing distillers beer. The single temperature brewing method and high modified, malt are used in grain distillation. To produce ale and lager with the method malt would need to contain magical properties in order for low temperature activated enzymes to work during a single, high temperature rest without denaturing, which is impossible. Strike and target temperature are useless for producing ale and lager, due to the way that enzymes work. The method works in grain distillation because only a single temperature rest is needed for activating Alpha. Alpha releases glucose from amylose during liquefaction. Glucose is responsible for primary fermentation.
