The ALL NEW Bulldog Master Brewer - Unboxing and first look at its features!!

Just a quick look what you get 'out of the box' on the all new, not yet in shops, Bulldog Master Brewer by Hambleton Bard. This is an all in one, 30 litre, all grain brewing system for brewers of all levels including beginner. Its a completely new system, not another version of the original Bulldog Brewer! It has a programmable controller which allows for a 9 step mash and boil! It is double walled for improved heat retention during the mash and will also aid a good rolling boil.

Now you've been using it for a while how does it compare with the previous Bulldog Brewer you also have? I'm considering buying a OneConcept Hopfengott (same as previous Bulldog)

What did you do mate? For the price the old bulldog was fine for entry level but a couple of add-ons would make it fine. Pump kept blocking so new pump, mesh on grain basket to large micron so use a bag maybe or fabricate a false bottom

Well if there is air in between the walls it would exactly work like a double walled vacuumed vessel. The air will still conduct heat to the outer wall

The Blundering Brewer I’d like to hope it provides more insulation. northern brewer also released a electric kettle with same double wall feature, however boil off rates seen on par with the single wall grainfather with coat

The Blundering Brewer I’m being critical about how these brands decide to market. “Double Wall” is a deceiving term. One may think it’s one thing but it’s completely not.

The Blundering Brewer actually I mostly brew in a bag in a 3 gallon pot with a sous vide machine. I’ve looked at a lot of systems and none of them can vigorously boil with 120v. Which is why I think a lot of these “double wall” systems have been advertised. Judging from feed back though it doesn’t seem to give you any more performance than reflectix or a grain coat or any regular insulation. All I’m saying is it’s misleading marketing from the manufacturer.
