I need some specific terrain for some future Silver Bayonet (and other) skirmish games and I had these today’s subjects in the Pile of Opportunity: Terrain Edition. So into the spray booth they go! And we get use all the standard stuff, like flock and gravel and tufts, etc. Game on!

Good stuff. A stream is just a river pending a flood....and bridges are sometimes built on the basis of the high water mark. And a final rule; Painted terrain is good terrain.

Scenery painting is cool, but as you say, at times tedious. Your stuff came out looking good. Nice color selections. On the screen, the glossy water does look good. The only thing I would do differently or additional would be to add many more tufts at the separation line of the water and earthy berms

I'm constructing underhive terrain. I just got to priming. This video's timing is perfect...I'll still go overboard I'm sure. Hopefully your earwig will stop me from going all golden demon.

Great video. Your candid thought processes and self analysis is really refreshing and entertaining 😋 Things don't go to plan and a valid solution is to leave it unperfect and call it done. Painted is infinitely better than unpainted for gaming terrain. Job done.

I don't see too well anymore. But I still like to be crafty. I am currently working on a gift for a mate. A vampire slayer kit. Going to make a journal. In ink on parchment. Using the Silver Bayonet story as an inspiration. Should be fun.

Instead of magnets in your river pieces, just use blue masking tape along the bottom. Fast Cheap and will last a game session or three.

Speed painting!!!! (with echo) That was my first thought when I started watching this video. I have two cats in my house. I know the issues. Speed painting to me is not only fun, but you get to say. "What the hell did I just do"? When I get done. I always enjoy your videos. You do the same things I do. I make fun of myself and everything I just did. Usually a few days later I look over my projects and see if they need some touching up. Those steam pieces made me want to go down to the stream that is a half mile from were I live and take some pics, maybe some sound bites as well. A guy like me can never have enough large enough Sound FX collection. You gave me some interesting ideas for a game coming up. So much can be done in a D and D campaign.

I've found myself painting mostly terrain over the last 3 years. tons of terrain. Just finished up a modular hedge maze that will cover a 3x3 table. Painted about 10 miniatures over the same time period.
Lol. Tshirt should say “half-assed > not done … sometimes” Let me know if you post pics of that maze somewhere!
If you can drown in an inch of water, I think a stream can be fairly deadly. Don't worry about the camera angles, it's part of the process!

uhhh maybe it is a river in a deep narrow gorge? and so you have a bridge crossing the gorge and the HUUUGE river you can see way down below, and you camp up on the cliffside? :D

I have the same river/stream set. I painted just enough segments for the Bridge Guards scenario in Rangers of Shadow Deep. I am planning to turn the remaining segments into lava streams and pools for a different game
