The number of races I’ve seen people complete this weekend is mad! You can definitely tell it’s racing season because my feed is just running content today and I am living for it post race today! Also for running socks I love and recommend the Balega running socks! 💛🏃🏼♀️

After your race, when you mentioned that you had bad runs the week leading up it made me think how I felt recently and it really goes to show how running is such a mental game! eyyyy!! So cool that you came to Utah!! As someone who grew up here, it's always surprising when I hear that others are excited to come to this state. This will sound bad, but when you're always around this scenery, you do take it for granted sometimes. But then whenever I leave and come back, I'm like, wait no, I'm so spoiled, Utah is gorgeous. soooo happy you enjoyed the state! Please come back! See the Bonneville Salt Flats, go to Fifth Water hot springs, see the pink water at the Great Salt Lake, check out the other national and state parks, etc, etc, etc!!
And wow!!! you are SO FAST!! so inspired by you just taking life by the horns. Keep thriving!

I’m based out of SLC and southern Utah is so beautiful. There’s so many places to explore. If you get more into trail running the have loads of races through the canyons. I did a the marathon through Canyonlands when I first moved here and was blown away at the beauty of the red rocks. Glad you loved the visit!

Elevation in Utah & a lot of the other more mountainous states can take some adjusting to breathing wise. When I was in Colorado I gave myself 3 days to do long walks before I tried running.

I haven’t even watched yet but just know! Utah is tough. I’m from Seattle, WA and I can hike the coolest national parks here no issue and have done a big section of the PCT. And.. The elevation alone in Utah kills you so I hope you’re proud of yourself. Way to go!

USA National Parks are incredible, very well maintained and staffed. They have an $80 annual pass that you could purchase and take the opportunity to explore the parks and do a run. At $20 -$30 an individual visit the annual pass pays for itself quickly

I also have asthma and run. Some runs you do feel tight chested and it can be very unpredictable . I do notice however if there is a lot of pollution or I am getting a cold it does affect my chest and therefore my running.
