The Girolando Project Pt I

Welcome to Bogue Hill Dairies, Jamaica - a family-owned operation set to transform Jamaica's Dairy sector through introduction of a new breed of cattle - the Girolando.
The Girolando is a hybrid between local Holstein cows bred by artificial insemination with imported Gir semen. Girolandos can withstand Jamaica's warm tropical climate and produce larger quantities of milk- 15-20 litres per cow/day compared with other breeds found locally that produce 7-10 litres.
