Hello, I just bought 12 acres that a farmer previously grew corn and soy beans on for years. We have been cutting the field all summer but didn't plant pasture grass as of yet. Would it be OK to let a cow graze in the field at this stage? Someone has a baby 3 month old Jersey bull and I would like to rescue him. Im not completely set up for him but I dont want him to be killed. Please any advice would be great
you want your grass to grow reall big. Keep chickens in a mobile coop and place the building on the pasture. Let the chickens eat the grass and insects and they will poop on that patch of grass for one day and then move the mobile coop to the next patch of land. At this time you can spread seed grasses . plant different variety of grasses on the patch the chickens were and then see the grasses grow tall on that patch and then harvest. chickens willalso lay eggs and you can sell the eggs.

Madam do you sell incalf heifers, and if yes at how much at what stage.
I'm in the Midwestern USA. I paid $2000 for an unregistered, 9 month old, bred heifer.
