@@JustinsCollection watched the first no way home hot toys 1/6 scale villain figure showcase (original green goblin) so been waiting what feels like 3 years but really it’s been maybe a year and a half. Really wanted deluxe doc ock, standard OG green goblin and deluxe new green goblin (cuz obv don’t need 2 gliders) but too expensive. Maybe in about 12 months when I actually have a job I’ll buy them then

For me the headsculpt is a 7/10. It's good enough and the glasses hides some imperfections. The rest of the figure is a 10/10 and it's going to have the most presence in my collection.
Also, it's doc ock. He and Goblin are must owns for any spidey fan.
I feel you with a new head it will dope
I wish they would’ve gave us an additional head sculpt with a neutral or angry expression.

Great poses, I cannot wait to get mine. I think Hot toys should’ve provided sculpted tentacles that (wrap around) spidey with the deluxe version for more dynamic fight poses

I got mine yesterday. Overall happy with it. Head sculpt obviously not the best, but with the glasses on not nearly as bad. Just happy I got a doc ock.

I love that the tentacles are sturdy enough to hold a Spider-Man fig. Definitely gonna pose him with his glasses on 24/7 😅. But nonetheless looks great!

So question when you get an upgrade figure such as this case what do you do with the older figure? Do you seek them or keep and put up??
In this instance I am selling the old one but sometimes I keep both!
While i may have been on the fence about the design changes they made from his 2004 appearance im so happy we at least get him in this format now to see if we will get a 12th scale version 😅

I do wish the face was different though.
Also I remember turtleneck being a really dark green, because in the scene when he was on the bridge talking to Peter 1 you could see that when the sun hits the turtleneck it looks really green, could be wrong though!

In your testing did you find that you could or couldn't have the figure be supported by just the two lower tentacles w/o the use of the stand?

Justin, can you confirm if both sets of tentacles are the same length? I pre-ordered the regular version and won't lie I'm slightly disappointed that the nano versions have more posability 😮 I wish hot toys gave us the option for "longer" tentacles as a display option, I'd love to have him climbing through the cabinet 😂

@@JustinsCollection I just got it and it is updated! It does have magnetic claw parts so they don’t fall off easy, but I don’t really know how to change the arms? Any help for that?
I had a waitlist conversion on this figure and decided to green light it. It's actually a pretty decent figure. The likeness isn't the best but isn't terrible either. I just didn't think about how much space these tentacles would take up! All and all i would give this like a 7/10 but now need to decide which Spider-man to get to display with him! Only one i have currently is that limited Hot Toys comic inspired one. No Tobey, Andrew or Tom yet

To be fair for the toys era, you can still use both of them for the og movies display. The doc ock inaccuracie to spidey 2 is the tenticals, and the goblin while we are getting the same thing, if you already have the toys era one you might as well us it in a spidey 1 display

I would've liked a frowning sculpt as the regular, and an improved smiling sculpt along with the tentacle damaged by Goblin as deluxe accessories.

Could you show how model it standing up? i don’t want him to touch the ground but im scared the tentacles would break because they bend strangely

To tell you the truth I put my Hot Toys in museum poses so the Doc Oct tentacles not being bendy is not a deal breaker for me. Also the fact that people say they have the Toys Era Abe don’t want this version is kind of strange to me because the Hot Toys head isn’t perfect but the the other one looks ten times worse in every way.

Finally got my chance to buy him off the old Sideshow wishlist opted not to get the deluxe since I don’t plan on using the nano tentacles over the OGs since the only major scene they’re in is the final moments of the bridge fight

You cannot use the TE head as it does not have a fixed neck so it is not compatible with this body

IKR! That's what I thought so when I have this figure in my collection. Atleast it will lessen the friction at the top part of my hands when I plug both the bottom legs first.
I’m wondering if they based the head- sculpt of the de-Aged CGI from “no way home as oppose to his natural look in Spider-Man 2
That being said being the premium amounts hot toys charge for there figures the low quality head sculpt is not acceptable in my opinion.

@@JustinsCollection They work together, so we're talking about the same head sculpt haha. It's incredible how the tentacles can withstand the weight of the Iron Spider hot toys.
Also I really wish they also have the the tentacles Have the white lights that indicates that he is fully control of the arms where peter fixes the inhibitor chip that was damaged in spider man 2.

Justin thanks for bringing up the tentacle problems. I just got mine. Overall I love the figure. But man the tentacles suck. Let’s just be honest they feel like cheap plastic. I’m afraid to bend mine in anyway because it sounds like they’re going to break. And then getting the tentacles in the figure is so frustrating. Real shame as this was one of the first hot toys I ever pre ordered and it’s just not living up to expectations

Just got mine in the mail yesterday - oh boy I have a new hatred for that sculpt. The entire figure is phenomenal except for that sculpt, it was bad in photos but man does it make posing a pain. I would love it as an alternate head, I think it looks like Alfred Molina, but it's just not Doc Ock to me. A more neutral or angry face with this sculpt being a deluxe edition bonus would've been preferrable, since it works for more heroic NWH poses but most people (including me) are getting him as a villain.
