Dr. Christian Turbide provides a clear and thorough review of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and how it helps our bodies regulate pain, and in particular gastrointestinal (GI) motility. It is my understanding that ECS is a complex combination of endocannabinoids that our bodies naturally produce that stimulate the body’s cannabinoid receptors, which are located in many areas of the body including the entire GI tract. Supplementing THC and CBD may stimulate the EC receptors and trigger a host of nuero transmitters that can reduce inflammation, decrease stress and at the very least improve the inflamed GI tract.

They are the dumbest people in the history of the world. That's why they are so highly regarded in today's society.

Best way to find out if a natural non lethal plant has therputic potential is to jst dam try it! Also make raw cannabis smoothies with spinach or kale to offset the acid to make the best smoothies.

I’d prefer this option whenever I feel pain & to maintain stress levels to avoid my triggers. I was diagnosed as a child & I’m not a fan of living on current prescription medication. Thankfully, and probably to my doctor’s disdain, I’ve not relied on meds. I do go back on from time to time when I get out of remission.

Have you tried treating the root of the problem instead of masking your symptoms with meds?

I hope you are doing well. So you are not currently treating Crohn’s with any meds? Can you share exactly what you use to help yourself, thank you☘️

@@Mark-zg4ky the root of the problem? As in myself? Are you familiar with autoimmune diseases? All I can do is treat and maintain, which I do.

@@LiveLoveLaugh22 thank you. I don’t have Chrons, just colitis and thankfully I’ve been dealt a lighter battle than most. I learned to pick up on my triggers. I take multivitamins daily. I try to remove stress from my life as I’ve noticed it’s my main trigger (I get other autoimmune diseases at times when I have high stress). This is where cannabis plays in but even then I rarely take a puff or an edible, but I rather that than a pain med. & I also take maintenance meds daily.

It would have been nice if while the presenter was speaking about the endocannabinoid system at around 6:27 we could have seen the slide that he kept pointing toward and referring to. Giving the videographer a 2/10 at this point in the presentation.

Very interesting. I have Crohn's for 7 years. In the Netherlands, there are what is called like coffee shops. As you mostlikely know, these are actually marijuana sfips. As I don't like smokimh anything down my respiratory tract, I shall only consume it as food. Now with this CPVID-19 pandemic, I am curious if there has veeb research done in relation to canaboids and SARS CoV2 in offering some ampiny of treatment for COVIS_19 patients. Lastly can canibis help in chronic diarrhoea or would be such a side effect of overdosing on canibis? Thanks a million, Now I shall seek out medical usage of canibis, for my Crohn's situation especialy diarrhoea and gut pain. Lastly, how about opthphomology such as cataracts?

Hey there man I’ve had crohns for over 10years now and let me tell you it’s been one of the most effective ways I’ve helped manage my crohns. It doesn’t help with my diarrhea but with ease of passing as I have narrowed ileum. Pain it helps with a lot I recommend some rso little expensive but it works for me within mins and provides relief thru day with one use

Hi Nikolaos, you're very lucky to be in Netherlands and have easy access to cannabis types. Dutch Healing have a range of water based CBD products. I have recently started taking broad spectrum cbd paste with some thc dabs and my gut inflammation more or less disappears. Recently I have barely been able to eat at all, all my food was becoming stuck and painful in my digestive system. When I take my cbd and thc, I eat almost as normal with almost zero side effects. Whereas before I would have extreme pain and discomfort. Cbd is amazing for gut pains if it works for you

Hey Nicolaus I’m also from the Netherlands The Hague City..
I was diagnosed with chrowns just 3 months ago. I use Entrocort. I lowered the doses from two months 9 mg to 6 mg. The doctors want me to use purinethol that’s also used for cancer patients. I’m not gonna use it. I’m trying to build down the entrocort and see how my body react with no medicine and with healthy food. The doctor said my chrowns is in a begin state. Do u have any advice for me I’m very confused everything is new for me. My symptoms in the first 2 months we’re constant diarrhea. After two months 3 times a day to the toilet 🚽 but it still was all soft and diarrhea like. I hope u also found something that works good for you.
