Hello Alex hope you're all OK after storm darragh thanks for the shout out (west of Ireland viewer) 😊great video as always very entertaining hope you enjoy your break you're a hard and honest worker mind yourself take care 👍
Thank you Wes, anything I’ve learned has come from good practice I’ve seen out there or I’ve worked out for myself 🤟 If you’re not evolving, you’re failing behind 👍
That’s exactly why I had to take the break because I’d built up so many 🤦🏻♂️ The trailer had it’s MOT so I just would of been doing odd jobs for nearly three days anyhow but I’ve been glad of the rest 🤟
Thank you for these videos 51-year-old owner driver that has done some low load work in the past. Just bought three axle step frame low loader trailer in order to have another shot at it. Your videos are a real help and reassure me I'm doing the job right. Every day is e school day. 👍🏻
Thank you Steve, I genuinely portray my honest understanding of the Law in the work that I do Incredibly, it’s actually easier to do the job right than take some of the pathetic shortcuts I see zooming past me in Lane Two 🤦🏻♂️ Capable Low-Loader Drivers will always be in demand, especially if you can manage construction plant swiftly and safely but I’m glad I took my mates advice (who runs his own Low-Loaders) to get a solid job cards in, my mentality is definitely not one of an entrepreneur Good luck and stay safe 🤟
Surprisingly, the 4 axle trailer is easier to manoeuvre around a building site than a 3 axle but the rear axle often unlocks (you might notice a short shunt to lock it again in some of my films) Loading and securing the machines is fairly easy once you get used to it, when you become comfortable with excavators the other machines fall into place I would say that you have to be supremely confident in your own abilities to manoeuvre your trailer where it needs to be so with over thirty years on building sites, I guess the experience helps The hard part is unseen, poor site access, stressed out site agents, brickies who want you to move, abusive members of the public the list is fairly long and you certainly need to be resilient On the whole though, it’s the best job in the world and throughly deserves the little bit of Kudos it occasionally gets 🤟
