In my opinion, sometimes slapstick comedy works for only local audiences. Like I hardly enjoy any Hollywood one.
I loved that movie for several years, but when I am watching it today with you guys I can admit that it felt bit silly

Katrina has the best chemistry with Akshay kumar. Even she has told that numerous times in her interviews that he's her favorite co-actor. She was brave enough to admit that twice in front of salman at his show bigboss when he asked her who was her favorite co star..she was there to promote her movies. 💀

Even if this movie is silly and slapstick comedy this is special for many of us and it has a nostalgic value for us. The movie and the songs reminds us of our school days 😅
I like the fact that you give your honest opinions. there are too many reactors who give clearly fake positive reactions for EVERYTHING even when it's obvious that they aren't enjoying stuff. That said, you guys should have listened haha.
Also, Katrina didn't get married to Ranbir because his mother is a snob and wanted him to marry someone with a reputable family in the industry i.e Alia.
The main reason they didn't get married is coz Ranbir is infedile! Ranbir and Deepika broke up for the same reason as well

this movie is very close to my heart as it shouts nostalgia used to be my fav rom-com back in the days, still a comfort movie.
This is the 1st RK movie I watched and I became his fan. I still enjoy this light romantic comedy. Tbh, I can't understand why wouldn't anyone enjoy such a fun loving movie.
I think a good frame of reference is that this movie is essentially a kids' movie. India does not make a lot of animated films of its own, and things like Disney Channel aren't as widespread either. So films like these filled the gap at that time, something for parents to take their kids to see. Nowadays most Indian kids love the MCU so there aren't as many films like this anymore.
This movie came out in a huge year for Ranbir. It was his third year in the business; his debut had flopped (it opened opposite Om Shanti Om) but his second film was a commercial success, so this was the time he needed to establish himself as an actor. This was his second film out of 3 that year, which all released in 3 consecutive months. It was the most successful out of the 3, but ironically it was the one he had the least faith and interest in, as he mentioned in an interview with AIB.
The one before this was Wake Up Sid, which he made with his close friend and frequent collaborator Ayan Mukerji. It was a sleeper hit and is still considered one of his best films. A genuinely great coming of age film that I highly recommend.
His third film that year was Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, which was a commercial failure. Ranbir has said that he thinks it's likely people were just tired of seeing him at that point, with all his releases so close together. It's a film he really had faith in and was disappointed at its failure. This movie was critically acclaimed at the time and has achieved cult classic status retroactively.
Honestly I would have picked either of those 2 movies far before this one. The only thing from this movie that stuck around for me was the soundtrack, while I have revisited Wake Up Sid often.
A kids movie??? This is the best excuse people who love this film make. It's absolutely NOT a kids movie... but it's just so bad that only dumb little adult-kids like it and that's on PERIOD

Bollywood is full of gossip and drama guys also it's Salman who brought Katrina into Bollywood....Salman is the most controversial star of Bollywood, either you love Salman or hate him there is no in between 😅😂
You're right, I absolutely hate Salman Khan, he physically battered Aishwarya Rai and tried to ruin her career when she dumped him in 2002, he is a nasty piece of work.

Honestly it wasn't as awkward because Katrina and ranbir started dating much later. Katrina and salman were still together during this film.. Having said that, this movie isnt entertaining at all.. The only enjoyable part of this film are the songs..
Katrina is in the industry beacuse of Salman khan. Also Salman has good relationship with all his Ex girlfriend except for Aishwarya rai.
Salman even slapped Ranbir in a club way before ranbir made his acting debut. Also, Salman has an special appearance in Ranbir Kapoor's debut movie Sawariya which is directed by Sanjay leela bhansali.
They should definitely watch some videos related to Salman Khan 😂😂😂

A fun and underrated romcom
Ranbir dated Deepika Padukone before this and there are rumours that they broke up because of Katrina. That was a whole other drama... Deepika made some indirect taunts towards both in some interviews :)
Slightly factually incorrect ma'am. It is a well known fact that Ranbir dumped Deepika for Katrina after Deepika got a tattoo on her neck with his RK initials... and then she OPENLY (not indirectly) spoke about it on TV :)

Salman is the one who launched Katrina they go way back n they broke up becoz Salman has anger issues... He slapped her in a restaurant in front of a lot of people at the end which ultimately let to the breakup.

DARNA MANA HAI, ROAD, MAKDEE, SATYA, GAYAB, SARKAR (Trilogy), No smoking. These are such cool movies. No one recommends these.... All u see are B grade Rom Coms and greasy Karan Johar movies getting recommneded.

I never new salman ever dated anyone after aiswarya rai, yeah salman brought numerous actress to Bollywood Katrina is one of them who actually survived till now. and gossips about salmon khan are strange. If salman got dumped by Katrina she would have finished (talking about carrier) salman is good to good, dangerous to his enemies and those who poke him ; so i don't think salman ever dated Katrina. because she still doing movies with salmon bhai.

Just a minute correction, Salman & Katrina broke up before this movie started shooting and continued to stay good friends publicly till date. On the other hand, Ranveer was single after break up with Deepika Padukone and this is the first movie where he & Katrina worked together, that ignited their love story, lasting for 4-5 years till Ranveer started dating Alia and Katrina dating Vicky.
