Great info! There are always a 100 different ways to do something, it's nice to see things I wouldn't have thought of. Just a couple production pointers: be aware of where the shadow your tripod is and try not to record in its shadow, also be aware of the focal point of your camera. Have it focus on the correct spot, not beyond or in front of the subject. Nice install!
Trust in Jesus he died for your sins, believe the gospel. Repent!!! If you do sin confess your sins, ask him to help you overcome your sins he will. I did the same the only difference I did is took the factory light bulbs out of the fog lights broke the bulb out and soldered my new wires to the the prongs on the old light housing then jb welded it closed then u keep your factory plug
Would this work for the mounting brackets: 2x4 Door Barricade Brackets Z-Shape Black Security Door Lock Brackets Heavy Duty Drop Open Bar Holder Steel? Listed on amazon.
I tried hooking up my 12-inch light bar to my fog lights so that I won't have to run a switch on my Dash and I couldn't get it to work do you need to put the relay or something between that to get it to work
Matt Paff me too bro. Ran HIDs in my old fog lights forever and soon as one blew out, I ordered those. I should have did it sooner. Also it is a way to mount that light bar behind the grille. I got one back there. All you need is two zip ties.
Is there a way you could do without the wiring harness and use the factory connectors from the old fog lights? Looking to get some of these for my silverado but didn’t want to have to deal with the wiring.
🥶 I mean, yes just get an opposite connector and plug them in, but then you are going to have find one and it’s just an extra expense. You are going to have to solder in the connector. So why not just cut and splice in the lights wires instead of trying to use a connector.
Nice job!! Quick question...I replicated your job and yet my lights do not come on unless I touch the relay with a test light (jumping it to the opposite side). Relay and fuses are not bad. Any ideas what is causing this?
Only thing I can think of is that even though you say the relay isn’t bad it may be. When you jump the relay it just bypasses it and doesn’t even use it. If the relay isn’t working it won’t allow power to flow through. Either that or you have a bad switch inside the cab. A insufficient ground or a chiefed wire somewhere.
At 10 minutes we see an additional light bar and mount for above the bumper up front. What did you use as a mount? And what parts / items did you use? Nice video.
gebventures thankyou. I made that mount for that light. It was some scrap metal I had but I think it’s 3/4 in wide.I didn’t want anything permanent on this vehicle so I didn’t want to drill any holes. Unfortunately I lost ALL the footage of making and installing that lightbar. So I decided to make this video a little longer than I originally wanted. As are all my lights they are Nlight. I believe it’s a 22 in bar which is amazingly bright for how small it is. Thanks for watching!
I am thinking of making a walk around video of everything that is on this Tahoe. If you want to, subscribe so you can get all the info on the lights when I post the video.
Blue Magic Metal polish will clean up those headlight lenses so you don't have to put high power bulbs in them. Keep the stock power for normal use...and LED's for off road. Use the cream ...NOT the liquid "headlight polish" they market...cream/paste works the best, and requires very little. Great job on the fog lights. I have an 02 Tahoe with a damaged lens...looking to upgrade with LED replacements. Thanks for posting....
10 4 on that shit! I see people cut their hands daily at work doin that, yep, thats who we need doin "helpful" videos, til til some mom sues him for her kid losin a hand,"cause that guy on youtube do it mom"
kenni411 yeah I know, I didn’t have any claps at that time. Been doing that for years. Haven’t had a problem. I need to get a drill press vice for drilling in metal.
Matt Paff right I've always done it that way excuse me but only Sissy's get scared very nice video he showed what needed to be do if it happens sorry but it happened ppl always want to talk down on ppl but I really don't thank you need a clamp this is my opinion
Hey did you use the same wiring that leads to the fog lamp button next to the light switches and 4x4 buttons or did you have to re wire it and and a new button to turn them on or will it connect to the button that’s already stock on the truck
Do you know the measurement of that bracket as stock and then measurement for the bends? Ill just make one in the shop rather than buy those if possible
Tony Larkin measuring in the shape of a z the top is 2” the offset is 1 1/2” the bottom of the z is 2 1/4” The 2 1/4” measurement is the one I mounted the light to.
Matt Paff Yea that's probably true these days. But when I was young, fog lights were amber or yellow because that light penetrates the fog better allowing you to see better. Where white light dispereses more making it harder to see.
blueknight the color doesn't matter. It's a fog light because it's installed lower than the other lights. The theory is to shine the light closer to the road and under the fog.
Dude you sound like the douche bags from the Walmart parking lot that you mention in your comment. Assholes that leave comments such as yourself are the ones that probably don’t even own a vehicle.
very nice installation!
thankyou!
@@mattpaff7819 what size are those led pods i want to install those on my 02 cadillac escalade ??
Can I wire them to the high beams
Very nice 👍👍👍👍
Pretty good job. I would have just made a pigtail though instead of cutting of my factory plug. That way you can just unplug whenever needed.

Just ordered for my 2006 Suburban. Keep up the content. You have skills and can build up a strong channel if you keep sharing your tips like this.

Very crafty man .. I got to give it to you on the custom install.

Excellent tutorial Matt. Thanks.
very cool, btw you made that bracket very well
Super drilling and molding thanks man 👍😁

Those are not even close to being fog lights but very nice. Handy to have a small sun at your command.
How do you figure they’re not fogs. Because of the color output
About to Oder me the yellow set.
Did this to my Tahoe also a few months ago!!
A P.A.C FILM cool man! I’m really enjoying mine!
Matt Paff me too bro. Ran HIDs in my old fog lights forever and soon as one blew out, I ordered those. I should have did it sooner. Also it is a way to mount that light bar behind the grille. I got one back there. All you need is two zip ties.
It has been a few years since you posted this video, but did you use the factory bolts and mounting holes to attatch your bracket?
What’s size this fog light?
Did u use the harness or hardwire with no issues
Nice bro. Imma buy these. I also had the stock fogs on my Silverado

Ima do this for my 04 Escalade
Good vid, how are they with cutting through fog?
I mis the part where you ran the brand new wires🤔
I didn’t. tied into the factory fog light wiring.
Great job bro ! Gotta kick out of your custom brackets!
Nice video👍👍👍 even if we could see your license plate we probably won't find you. It seems like you live in the middle of nowhere 😂
What are the details for the piece of metal you used.
Looking good
How long was the brackets?
How long apart did u make the hole 🕳
Same with the bends I'm diff gonna do the exact same thing
Thanks
Very nice job
What wrench did you use to take the old fogs off
Duckymomooo it was a while ago, I have no idea. try a 10mm most of the time stuff like this is that size.
Matt Paff thank god you replied. But I’m having a hard time installing them. Soddering how and how to mount
Where did you order the lights? Do you have the link?
they’re from amazon. Just search “nilight LED fog lights” or light bar depending on what you want

Thanks for the quick reply! I will check out the switch. I have already swapped relays to no avail...And yes, I am using the stock harness/wiring
Ricardo Tubbs I know this was 5 months ago from the original comment. Did you ever get your fog lights to work?
At 10 minutes we see an additional light bar and mount for above the bumper up front. What did you use as a mount? And what parts / items did you use? Nice video.

Good Job! Where did you find the universal mounting brackets?
Bob Hutt not really sure what you mean by universal mounting brackets?
The bracket you bent up in the vise.
Bob Hutt oh! Those were off of an old deal I took apart lol. Amy steel will work this it what I just used
Picked up the lights and "Z" brackets for solar panels on Amazon. Thanks!

Precision Flight UAS The yellowing is actually on the inside. I’ve tried to clean them off but I’m just gonna need to get new headlights.
good way to chop a finger off by not clamping that down while drilling .... lucky ....good ole office furniture flat plate

jmw16969 in the description bro, I state I am in no way liable. Covered my butt boi 😉

Winningfirst Allday I tied them right to the stock wires. The lights are 36w and the old fog light lamps were 36w. So you should be fine.
How are those lights holding up. Was it a good purchase or did you have to switch them out?
Jsta Dreme they still work great! I’m not daily driving the Tahoe anymore but they are still working.
Do you know the measurement of that bracket as stock and then measurement for the bends? Ill just make one in the shop rather than buy those if possible
Tony Larkin measuring in the shape of a z
the top is 2”
the offset is 1 1/2”
the bottom of the z is 2 1/4”
The 2 1/4” measurement is the one I mounted the light to.
Matt Paff perfect thankyou! I'll run a program on the laser here at work
Tony Larkin no problem! you may have to modify it a little to get it to work for your needs.
Matt Paff I think it should work, same Tahoe as yours. I'm just going to have the laser shoot some 3/8 by 7/8 inch slots so I have some adjustment
Awesome channel, bro!
Hit it hit it hit it hit it hit it hit it
Where you live at install some lights on my truck
Very good! Thank you.
Kudos on a great job, man!
Marteen Kairuz thankyou!
Matt can you hit me up? I have a question about this hook up!
Good job man .!!!
Raul Velasquez thankyou
Very good job!!!.. the only thing is that You did not wear safety glasses!!!... drilling, hammering and under the truck. Beside that 5 stars hid!!!!!
Cool
Just to let you know, if the light isn't amber, it's not a fog light.
blueknight that’s not true. There are plenty of cars with stock fog lights that are white. I have never seen any fog light in my life that was amber.
Matt Paff Yea that's probably true these days. But when I was young, fog lights were amber or yellow because that light penetrates the fog better allowing you to see better. Where white light dispereses more making it harder to see.

^^^^^BOOM!!!
@@Blueknight1960 amber doesn't refract as much is all
Nice job... (:0)
Want to see in fog? Yellow halogens.
Want to be liked by half lifted trucks in the walmart parking lots? Blue leds.
Why blue foglights!?!
They ain't blue... they're white
