Sid was a legend for the fact he was able to save the botched ShockMaster debut while still going into his kayfabe mode while everyone else around him were just left stunned.
When I was a kid in the 80s and 90s watching wrestling there were only a few guys that scared you, like you didn't think they were human. The Undertaker, Sid, Bruiser Brody, and Andre the Giant. You know like the type of guy that you would never be alone with that as a kid you thought lived their gimmick. As a child, there was that stigma that the good guys were here to stop the bad men or these monsters. Sid to me was legit scary...how could a man be that tall AND muscular...to me he was a freak. I legit thought he only spoke in 3 to 4 word sentences. He legit had it all. He had the hair, the look, size, and strength...he also made you believe it. As an adult, I respect what he did a lot more because if he wanted he could have stayed anywhere and had multiple runs. He was a plug-in heel with instant credibility. Instead, he prioritized his personal life and what he deemed important. I am sure anyone who has been through some shit in their life can appreciate that. In my 20s I thought he wasted his opportunities in wrestling...Now that I am in my 40s I have perspective because of these interviews and my own experiences. I can see he was taking advantage of opportunities in his life. I get it now... RIP to the big man

Flag flapping = Brain Cancer? Wtf are they talking about? Prob trying to be funny but I have no idea. How about ROUNDUP and SID selling Farm Chemicals for a living outside of wrestling.
Jim Cornette and Brian Last said that Sid's brain cancer probably came from Roundup. Sid's job before he wrestled was selling farm chemicals, including Roundup.
Sid is one of the few guys even the hard to impress Kev would say, "He was a big, strong dude." Nice to see respect from big men for big men instead of their seeing each other as possible rivals for similar spots on the card. I hated to see Arn and Sid in the scissor incident as well. I like them both and wish they had gotten along better. Same with Kev and Piper. Sid had a lot in common with Ultimate Warrior as well in that when both were at the top of their game they were great, but they also could often cause problems for themselves. Kev seems withdrawn or tired here. It must suck seeing a lot of your friends and colleagues pass on. Kev's comments starting at 8:30 are a great tribute to Sid. Sid, for all his flaws, got to do things his way, and even in his mistakes (promo flubs, horrible leg break) he gave us some unforgettable moments. Like Kev says about Sid, Sid was from West Memphis, Ark. It was nice to have such a famous wrestler from our state (as well as Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr.), as here in Arkansas we usually get rolled up into the Memphis scene and overlooked. That said, it's nice that we're associated with Memphis, one of wrestling's most famous cities for talent and promotions. In a good way, Sid and Jim Cornette (Jim being from close by Louisville, KY) both seem like regular guys you would see on the street here, aside from Sid's huge size and look. It would be a lot of fun to buy them drinks and talk to them both. That goes for Kev as well. I think it was a Cornette quote or maybe Kevin who said if Sid weren't wrestling, "Well, he'd just come back home to sell agri chemicals." And I assure you here in the Mississippi Delta, which is full of soybeans and rice, agriculture and ag related businesses are what many people do. It's an area where a few farming families own thousands of acres and have millions of dollars worth of equipment. Small rural towns, a slower pace of living, and a love of football are the result.
Kevin Nash is outliving a lot of them Sid, Scott Hall, Test, his son, Vader. Nash, Hogan, and Flair are for sure making the wrestling equivalent of making it to age 100. If Nash makes it to age 70 then he joins Hogan and Flair in rare pro wrestler from the 1980's to make it alive to age 70. Jesse Ventura did that too.
If he'd really loved the business and been focused on learning and evolving, he could have literally reached GOAT status. But I have tremendous respect for people who don't waste their lives just chasing the almighty dollar, and instead do what they want to do to achieve their own happiness.
Sid wasn't a mark. He was a family man that loved softball.

I don't do that. Mind you this is also an older sid who is about 40 too. Whoever pressured him to do more "high flying top rope stuff" is an idiot. If it's Russo, just take the blame and move on.
I remember when diesel, and sid had a lumberjack match at an in your house ppv. That was a great show. Also the WrestleMania 13 main event sid vs undertaker for the title... rip sid😢
Sid needs to be in the HOF 2025 RIP
He should have already been in the Hall of Fame.
He should have already been in the Hall of Fame.
I thought he was in already. It's insane that the WWE didn't put him in earlier. Wtf.
@@llibmukred5906 because he walked out on Vince the scumbag to go play in a softball tournament. I despise Vince.
@@chrisendsley5724 Vince McMahon is at the top of the list of the biggest stains in pro wrestling history. He ruined his legacy, and the McMahon name itself has been tarnished by his sickening actions in recent years. Jess McMahon and Vince McMahon Sr. must be rolling in their graves.
I always loved Sid. After Vader died. The only other wrestler i wanted to shake the hand of was Sid. Greatest entrance ever was that Madison Square garden entrance at Survivor Series.
Plus his "half the brain & half the man" promo was so hilarious.
I think he was a marvelous promo.
Agreed. Best entrances were under his Sycho Sid variation of his Sid gimmicks. Nearly the best entrance in WWF just behind Undertajer. I think Undertaker, Sid, Goldust and Papa Shango, Shinsuke Nakamura have the best WWE entrances
He was one of my all time favorites. May he rest in peace, he will most certainly be missed.
Is it me or is Nash having breathing issues?
My guess he is on pain killers.
Rest in peace Sid 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
One of the biggest scariest monsters in the ring. From interviews I’ve watched, a polite humble gentleman. RIP Sid
NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH SID EUDY. I REMEMBER I THINK IT WAS IN LOUISVILLE when I MET SID.
More of a Scott comment, but Scott giving Sid the razor's edge is one of the most impressive things I've seen. He even did it in like 2000 when he (Scott) wasn't nearly as jacked as he once was.
Yup. And it was executed so effortlessly. The only other guy that big he got up was Crush, and he struggled with that one a little
Steiner?
@@TheNathanBrand I think it is Scott Hall
The Skyscrapes in the 80s were awesome. Loved those guys as a kid. Larger then life
Clear to see Kevin was holding back tears. Him and Sid were obviously very close. RIP big man ❤
Sid deserves to be a HOFer... a true legend
Prayers for his family and rip sid
So many dream matches involving Sid that never happened: Kane, Big Show, Andre, and can you just imagine a young Sid Vicious getting in the with Bruiser Brody !!
Mam. I miss Sid. This was a tough one for me !!!
Nash's estrogen levels are insane
Lololololol you need to quit
He’s low t for sure. Oliver is a trans
There’s a shoot interview with Sid I was watching on UA-cam just a few days ago where Sid says Vince asked him what he wanted, and Sid said he asked to be Hogan, in the sense of having the top spot. So this is the great thing about these wrestler dudes where they are constantly mixing truth and fiction and of course every hardcore fan is convinced they know the real history 😂
Probably the most underappreciated talent in wrestling history. He was a huge star and WWE and fans forget that.
Kevin Nash looks great! Keep it up Big Man!
the master, and ruler of the universe
The real Universal champion.
vote a little weird? why, becaue if you dont vote liberal then your not wanted in society?
Because republicans are still living in the stone ages and hate blacks, hate gays, hate trans, hate minorities, hate the poor, barely respect the middle class, hate interracial daters, etc etc etc
I don't think Sid was garbage on the mic, he could do a solid intense promo. He just had a few HUGE bloopers but that just adds to the legend of Sid
Psycho Sid terrified me as a little kid. Scariest man I ever seen on television.
My favorite SID moment was when he was in his fued with shawn and josie letherio and on raw SID couldnt find josie, so he found josie' son and powerbombed josie jr but king referred to him as "jos-BEE" and i couldn't stop laughing at that! Too funny.
The " I have half the brains that you do" is one of the best moments in wrestling.
I just knew Nash would do the Sid Big Vicious Heel bit again in this.
😂 I was waiting for it...wished I could find it on Kayfabe Commentaries.
Sid was so cool 😢
I will always love Sid and how he did it. Best of both worlds, wold champion of multiple organizations, and still chose his family. Never will forget the ruler of the world
I always thought Sid was a bad A.. Loved to see him work. He has to be one of the best built and character look of all time.
I wish kevin would be more humble
Sid was a legend for the fact he was able to save the botched ShockMaster debut while still going into his kayfabe mode while everyone else around him were just left stunned.
"Sid? I never had a problem with him."
RIP
Ha.
Wrong arm Anderson scissors stabbing when sid did psycho s*it
Just wanted to hear some nice stories about Sid and Nash had to go political. 😩
Don't worry, you can still fly your Confederate flag from your truck.
@@toddrunyon so can your mom
@@Forgetaboutit166 Ouch, you really hurt my feelings with that witty response. I may have to leave UA-cam because of it

@@Forgetaboutit166 Keep trying. You might actually make a funny comment one day
Loved his ECW Run!! RIP Sid!
A Sid Kayfabes commentary would have been absolutely amazing. Oliver would have undoubtably pryed some amazing stories out of him.
RIP to the big man
Nash is so boring I’m trying to listen 😩 matter fact both of them together are boring 🥱 I stopped listening when Oliver said Sid wasn’t good with promos etc and Nash didn’t defend it
Well said
The fact that he turned down the Hogan gig to be a heel is freakin legendary lmao
A lot of guys who were proper 'WCW guys' had issues when they went to the WWF, I can see why Sting was apprehensive, I honestly believe Vince might have been so petty that he made them look not the best just to 'prove' his company was always better
Sid probably slapping Pillman silly with a squeegee up in heaven right now
RIP
Rip sid eudy, thanks for great memories, good big man
Flag flapping = Brain Cancer? Wtf are they talking about? Prob trying to be funny but I have no idea.
How about ROUNDUP and SID selling Farm Chemicals for a living outside of wrestling.
The coolest heel, would still fistbump fans walking to the ring.
Rip RULER OF THE WORLD 🙏
Jim Cornette and Brian Last said that Sid's brain cancer probably came from Roundup. Sid's job before he wrestled was selling farm chemicals, including Roundup.
Some people just get cancer. It’s redundant to speculate how it came about
Cornette is a loon.
😢
@@someparts OK and? Cornette knew Sid personally and knew that he sold farm chemicals before wrestling.

Sid is one of the few guys even the hard to impress Kev would say, "He was a big, strong dude."
Nice to see respect from big men for big men instead of their seeing each other as possible rivals for similar spots on the card.
I think it was a Cornette quote or maybe Kevin who said if Sid weren't wrestling, "Well, he'd just come back home to sell agri chemicals."
And I assure you here in the Mississippi Delta, which is full of soybeans and rice, agriculture and ag related businesses are what many people do. It's an area where a few farming families own thousands of acres and have millions of dollars worth of equipment. Small rural towns, a slower pace of living, and a love of football are the result.
I never had a problem with Sid
Sid was my favorite other than the Hit man RIP SID. Shout-out from halifax novascotia 🇨🇦 🍁
Ray Stevens was like Sid. Ray loved to go on weeks long hunting and fishing trips. He wasn't giving that up.
SID coached softball or played it WOW RIP. Kevin Nash, SID were great world champions.
Life is short. As long as you are not hurting anyone, live your life how you want to. Don't ever be slave to a company.
Sid was cool as he'll one of the best big men
"You may be half the man that I am, but I got half the brain that you guys do."
If he'd really loved the business and been focused on learning and evolving, he could have literally reached GOAT status.
But I have tremendous respect for people who don't waste their lives just chasing the almighty dollar, and instead do what they want to do to achieve their own happiness.
