His entrance at the 96 Survivor Series always gets me jacked up. Dude was one of a kind, and the most intense wrestler of all time. Hell, every time they paired him with HBK in an attempt to get Shawn over HE ended up getting over.
@Telly Delucca go look at the tapes my man. Sid was getting way more positive responses than Shawn was at that time. Hell, even at WM 11 the crowd was cheering Sid's name even as Shawn was tearing it up in the ring with Diesel. By Survivor Series 96, Shawn got booed out of MSG and the "smart" New York crowd was cheering Sid. Even when he beat up an old man lol.
@Telly Delucca when Shawn brought Sid in as his bodyguard in 95, at Mania that year the crowd cheered more for Sid just for standing outside the ring then for either Shawn or Diesel inside the ring. And when Shawn brought him back again in 96 to replace Warrior, Sid was getting such positive reactions from the crowd that they scrapped plans to put the title on Vader and put it on Sid instead. Yes, Shawn had a say in it as he preferred working with Sid over Vader, but still. And yes Shawn got over, but by Nov. 96 his popularity began to wane. Blame it on fickle fans if you want, Shawn's act had gone stale and the fans prolly just wanted to cheer somebody new. By 97 when Shawn fully turned heel, a lot of the heat he was generating was go away heat. Sid's popularity at the time was pretty inexplicable, but it was also undeniable. It's cliche, but Sid had "it", and in a lot of ways represented the soon to come Attitude Era, with fans cheering bad ass antiheros and booing white meat babyfaces, which is what Shawn was in 96 by his own admission.
Sid was more over as a face than shawn in 96. But because he was unpredictable and didnt always work with the promoter, he never had any long term plans.
@Telly Delucca you know that Raw match with HBK and Sid was taped, right?! The WWE added in cheers for Shawn and all their babyfaces back then. And that hate for Shawn didn't just last one night, Shawn was teasing a heel turn up until RR 97 when the crowd reaction for him in San Antonio was so big they scrapped it. And what MSG show two months later are you referring to? A house show?! The WWF didn't run another televised show from MSG until Sept. 97, when Austin stunned McMahon. You're saying that Shawn was the company's top babyface at that time, and that is true. I'm saying whenever Shawn and Sid worked together, either in singles against each other or in tags as partners, Sid was the more popular of the two (with the exception of RR 97, which was in Shawn's hometown)
I love Arn but it was fairly evident Arn was not guiltless in that scissor fight. He instigated the fight and after it got calmed down and they were in their rooms, Sid went to Arn's room screaming in the hallway. Arn never had to open the door, least of all with scissors in his hand, determined to stab a dude. You can't stab a guy and magically be in the right when the weapon you introduced gets used against you. Jim has his faves and his brain kind of breaks trying to defend them.
Judging from the stories they were both in the wrong. It is possible for both parties to be wrong. From what I heard Aid went ro Arn's room and someone else knock on the.door while he hid. Of that's the case Sid was wrong.for.that. I don't know how true that is though
The stories about Sid feeling like he was having a heart attack, and him always wanting to retreat to low-stress activities, sounds to me like a guy who was having panic attacks. I wonder if some of the (legit) "psycho" in Sid really boiled down to some kind of anxiety disorder. (For a guy with his look and his image to maintain, it might be a hell of a lot easier to come off as lazy or crazy, than to talk about feeling scared shitless.)
I think you're right on the money. From Sids interviews he just seems to be a closed off guy with really high moral code being around the business was probably to much for such a simple guy. Seems like a guy that just aint willing to be uncomfortable
I was always biased towards Sid because in my whole lifetime of watching wrestling, he's the only wrestler I actually ever met in person. It was in Newark airport in 1996 and he was on his way to a PPV in Canada. I was a little nervous because I knew his history, but he was super nice and couldn't be any further from his on screen persona. The business today could use that kind of intense big man. He's the type of character Braun Strowman should be.
From watching his shoot interviews and things various people said about Sid, I think he seems like one of the nicest guys from that era of wrestling. So cool that you were able to meet him!
Strowman is a missed opportunity. I know they wanted to rush him to the main roster for various reasons but he needed to spend more time in NXT. A year more in NXT and he could have been a pretty good big man.
And based on the type of cancer, sadly cornette was spot on here. Love corny, but it sucks hearing him say this and turn out to be right. I’m almost 100% on board with Corny’s assessment of wrestlers, but I don’t think he gives Sid enough credit here in terms of what he brought to the table. Sid had a god given charisma you can’t teach. He “was money” just like Nash has said in the past. He had a few fumbles on the mic, but looking back on some promos from that last run at the end of the new generation era he cut some truly next level interviews - especially the empty Alamo dome one before beating HBK. For the title. I was in elementary school when he returned as HBKs body guard and nobody drew me to the tv the way Sid did. I’ll be interested to see Cornette’s reflection on his passing. Jim tells it like it is from his perspective but when someone passes away he tends to slow up, be more reflective, and dig a little deeper into his thoughts so whatever he says, I’m excited to hear it. And personally, I’m the Sid belongs in the HOF camp.
@@bd4947I don't think we'll get it based on the timing of his tapings and the passing but in fairness he does speak about the early years of sid. Personally I enjoyed sid in 97 I was young, it's a shame he got hurt and needed neck surgery and I think Vince and him might of fell out not long after
Yes, but he was still officially, in WWF labelled as Sid Justice in that run, calling him 'psycho' was just because it rolled off the tongue, it probably carried no implication of it being billed into his name, nor was it a phrase directed for Gorilla to say. It's like a number of things that it's only once it's been said or linked for a long time that someone has the spark to say 'let's go with that', which happened much later.
@@fuzzluvver69 You're likely right. I only shared my point because I wasn't sure if younger or newer fans knew or not. When Jim said it to Vince, it may have reminded him of what Gorilla said. Either way, Sycho Sid ended up working much better than Sid Justice. On another point, Jim Ross also liked using Sid (his real name) as an abbreviation for Suddenly I'm Dominant.
When Cornette talked about Dr. Death being able to break Stone Cold in half in the Brawl for All review, I felt that same way about Sid during his feud with Goldberg in WCW.
@@runnersdialzero1244 I disagree. If you listen to Sids shoot which he did with Hanibal, he said ," When I came to my senses, I threw the scissors away so both of cant hurt each other". He did assaulted him but murdering was never his intention.
I vaguely remember a friend fantasy booking NXT back in the pro/rookie days and thinking it would have been the funniest thing to have had Kevin Nash mentor Paul London and turn him into a mini-Nash and insisting he end every match with a powerbomb, lol.
What's the best thing about Sid was that almost everytime he was heel the audience always turns him baby face like with matches against Hogan, Shawn, and Goldberg.
Used to see Sid here around Memphis just before covid at this outdoor music lounge on Friday nights. He would be sitting there literally with his dog listening to black soul music. Was a real cool guy.
Yeah, I heard Sid's interview where he said for example that the incident happened on the hallway (in front of Steamboat's room?).I tend to believe that was more Arn's fault, but we can't know for sure, especially because I don't think Arn is legally allowed to speak about it so we haven't heard his side of the story.
No, Arn wasn't, but that said, Sid himself has said he went to his own room, thought about it, then went to Arn's room to confront him about what was said at dinner. So what followed was on Sid for perpetuating things when it could have ended at that point.
Technically it's Sid saying Nash is half the man he is, and the he has half the brain Kevin Nash has. Which, y'know what, makes sense: Sid is twice the man Nash is, but has half the brain. Since he's twice the man, that means half the brain is equal to one normal brain. Ergo, Sid is saying he and Nash may be intellectual equals, but that Sid is far more imposing physically, which is what truly counts. It's the original version of Steiner Math: it technically checks out in the end, but wow lad what a journey it takes you on to get there.
Mr G Yes, there may of been one or two house shows in early 91 to wrap things up, but I believe by the end of December 90 the TV show was officially over. It sucked they had to go. Even at the end, by the fall of 90, it was still the no. 3 U.S. promotion with a long history and a place to work for upcoming stars and on-the-way-out vets, and get TV and mag exposure. When Eddie Guerrero debuted at WWF, his Frogsplash that broke his own arm. It looked nasty when he did it. Or when Trish separated her shoulder against Mickie James going outside the ring. Nasty. My favorite, Taka Michinoku landing on his face when Kane eliminated him in the Royal Rumble. I remember so well because Lawler kept asking for the replay and laughing his ass off.
You can train that look. Just takes proper nutrition, a dedicated exercise regimen, and enough anabolic steroids that would even make Arnold go “that’s a lot of steroids!”

The Sid Vicious promo prep method: 1) Bicep curls and lat shrugs for twenty straight minutes. 2) Angel dust. Pure and uncut Bogotá Booya. 3) Scream fifth grade-level nonsense into TV camera.
Two different drugs as others have pointed out. And having had some primo fucking blow back in the late 90s, I’ve never heard anyone refer to it as “Bogota Booya” before. Peruvian flake, Bolivian bullion, Colombian snow, snow, blow, and yayo to name a few. Never heard anyone refer to it as “booya” before. With or without an adjective in front of it.
As much as I love the Pops from the ECW crowd, they were legitimate super marks. I remember taka michinoku showing up for one match, and the entire building was there chanting for him not to go back. @@shindean Becuase they were marks who tried to pretend they were smarks. If Hogan had showed up in that shitty bingo hall they would have gone ape shit. They acted like they hated anything WWE and WCW, but in reality watched everything they did. They were hardcore wrestling fans
There aren't many guys I can think of that had the natural look of Sid where he could just walk out and you could tell he was a thing without doing a move just by how he looked, walked and carried himself.
Three things I remember when I think of Sid. His fist bumps to fans with his intense ring music playing in the background. His leg snapping match with Big Poppa Pump and yelling I told ya when the Shockmaster fell on his face. Lol
I remember after a WCW event I saw Sid, As I approached to get an autograph, he was leaning up against the wall talking to another man in dress clothes and it was several of us kids around him, he told us no, he was not signing any. I was asked as an adult if this bothered me. Thinking back, I said no. I never expected the Sid Vicious I saw in the ring to be a nice, friendly "gentleman" He was keeping kayfabe for all I know, but I expected nothing less from a Monster in the ring.
That's because Shawn was a stripper that they pushed as face... Only the worst heels wouldn't get cheered. Also, at the time of Hogan, Hogan was stale and multiple heels had already gotten cheered when they faced Hogan 4 years earlier, so by the time he fought Sid it didn't matter anymore
Honestly Sid is one of my favorite big men of all time. He may not have been anything too special in the ring, but he checked all the other boxes that make a wrestler fun to watch as a fan. Look, charisma, intensity, and he was committed to whatever gimmick he was working. In the ring, he was at least safe and some of his shit did look good, like his powerbomb.
I can speak first hand of Sid softball talent. I’ve never seen a guy move that fast that was that big. He could also crush a softball. Not my uncle’s softball though. My uncle was a grade a pitcher and Sid could never hit well against him.
Maybe if he had been treated like Brock Lesnar today he'd have been more successful. He could have worked the 5 big ppvs of the time (Rumble, Mania, King of the Ring, Summerslam and Survivor Series) and show up on Raw every now and then to do absolutely nothing, maybe occasionally beat someone up and very very rarely get into a brawl. That way you don't expose his weaknesses, he could go watch softball and probably be happy.
@@johnthomas5314 but MMA and real fighting wasn't nearly as big as it is now. Sid in smaller doses could have been fun. He could have a manager to speak for him when he wasn't around, then show up and do nothing but cut a crazy promo, not appear on the show again, show up for the ppv, destroy the opponent and gp again, not to be seen in weeks.
That's what he did when WWF started doing monthly PPV's when Diesel was WWF Champion. He was only used during the PPV's and acted as Shawn Michaels bodyguard during Raw.
It should be noted that Arn stabbed Sid first. In fact, Arn started the fight after Sid said that Ric Flair not stepping out of the way for the young guys is why WCW wasn't drawing money.
Sid was fascinating. People give him shit, because he basically wrestled when he wanted to. But he could walk into any organization back then, with no storyline, and immediately be one of the most over people on the card, if not THE most over person on the card, without even trying. He just had an 'it' factor. The crowd popped huge for him, every single time he showed up. In WWE, they couldn't get him heat no matter how hard they tried. They lost their shit when he 'turned his back' on Hogan at the Rumble, and they lost their shit when he power bombed the crap out of Shawn Michaels. He was just perpetually 'over' no matter what he did. It was just that easy for him. Many don't realize that he had the opportunity to be the next Hogan. Vince wanted him to be the next Hogan. And he absolutely could have pulled it off, since when he was face Sid Justice, he was already more over than the actual Hogan they still had there. He just didn't want that. He wanted a life. And at the end of the day, he seems to be doing well financially, he did it on his terms, and he's still with us and not dead from a pill OD. So good on him!
Sid was awesome! Really over with the fans and I was so happy when he took the belt off HBK at Surivior Series 96. Long overdue to see him as champion! His interviews were really intense and he was a scary, intimidating looking dude!
Worse can be said of Sid is that he hit a guy with an arm of chair - once (he said he didn't even do that). Arn on the other hand, stabbed a guy half a dozen and nearly killed him 😂😂😂😂
Made millions of dollars and still managed to live a real life……. and apparently coaching a kids baseball team is a bad thing. The guys that get crapped on the most are the ones that can leave the business on their terms and not be like Ric flair. He was the first heel that fans actually cheered then Austin came along. He knew he’d always get hired back into a top spot and he’s far more stable than Cornette in any shoot video I’ve ever seen….. and looked like a real wrestler. Rest easy big man.
Isn’t it common knowledge by now that the scissor incident was started by Arn? Arn started the fight and was the first to grab and stab with scissors. Why is Sid the one who catches heat for this?
I think you're on to something there.
Warrior was kind of similar. When you watch Warrior’s interviews, it’s obvious he dealt with a lot of anxiety.
Met him at a softball tournament..... of course!!!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I knew that was going to be said!!!
That's where I met him.. never saw him at a wrestling show 😜
That's no surprise..
Didn't you know? Sid played softball full time, wrestling was his part-time job.
I replayed that bit so much. Brian's reaction was priceless.
I laughed out loud at “I met him at a softball tournament” and said “of course he did” at the same time as Brian. 😂
i saw him play slow pitch softball in central indiana. dude could hit bombs
No u didn't
I was always biased towards Sid because in my whole lifetime of watching wrestling, he's the only wrestler I actually ever met in person. It was in Newark airport in 1996 and he was on his way to a PPV in Canada. I was a little nervous because I knew his history, but he was super nice and couldn't be any further from his on screen persona. The business today could use that kind of intense big man. He's the type of character Braun Strowman should be.
From watching his shoot interviews and things various people said about Sid, I think he seems like one of the nicest guys from that era of wrestling. So cool that you were able to meet him!
Piper same way. Lived in my town. Met him a few times. Always very nice.
Strowman is a missed opportunity. I know they wanted to rush him to the main roster for various reasons but he needed to spend more time in NXT.
A year more in NXT and he could have been a pretty good big man.
All I'll say is Sid was a scary looking guy, one of the most intimidating looking wrestlers of all time
I agree. He also looks like a hothead.
The scariest wrestler ever.
Sid should've been Sabretooth in The X-Men movies.
sadly he just passed away from cancer, RIP Sid
Personally I enjoyed sid in 97 I was young, it's a shame he got hurt and needed neck surgery and I think Vince and him might of fell out not long after
Gorilla Monsoon used to call him Psycho Sid in 1992. I think he said it at WM8.
That is CORRECT.
Monsoon did say it but it was actually Bobby Heenan at WM8 that brought it up on the broadcast asking Monsoon about it.
And I was right, too.
What he did backstage was none of my business. Being a fan, I always enjoyed Sid. Looked monstrous and very believable when I was a kid.
amen
"What he did backstage" was try to murder a man with a pair of scissors, haha. Don't try to play it down with euphemisms.
Same here.
He should be an agent. Lays out the match whispering and then gets in the talent’s face and screams the finish
Ha ha!! Thats good $%!t, pal!!
With his physco music playing in da background
*points to the sky*
POWERBOMB!!!
*crowd cheers*
Oh my god yes!!! And lol, he demands every finish w every wrestler be a powerbomb- Rey is booked to win by pinfall by powerbombing Lashley.
Sid's "softball" was Terry Funk's "sick horse". He just wanted to go home.
You’re not the first person to say that. You’re right.
Sid Viscous choking Ho Hogan in the corner and spitting all over him screaming Wrestlemania 8 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don’t get squeamish easy, but goddamn, the video of that leg injury is truly painful to watch.
Worst wrestling injury, I've ever seen.
I saw that live. The most gruesome injury I've ever seen.
Stomach churning.
Snapped like a slim jim
Yeah one of the craziest memories I have of watching wrestling as a kid, eww 😳🤮
Arn was in the wrong, Jim needs to stop changing history to suit who he likes the most
Why start now?
Sid was MONEY in every promotion he wrestled in.
Corny, let's get the Sid memorial video out. Let the past go. He made a mark.
Never get tired of hearing the Dusty or Vince impressions
And his Stu Hart cracks me up!
You guy's know Arn Anderson wasnt innocent in all of that right?
Yeah, I heard Sid's interview where he said for example that the incident happened on the hallway (in front of Steamboat's room?).I tend to believe that was more Arn's fault, but we can't know for sure, especially because I don't think Arn is legally allowed to speak about it so we haven't heard his side of the story.
No, Arn wasn't, but that said, Sid himself has said he went to his own room, thought about it, then went to Arn's room to confront him about what was said at dinner. So what followed was on Sid for perpetuating things when it could have ended at that point.
Sid took the scissors from Arn, which just goes to show Arn has average scissor skills
I like to imagine, that the second Sid had the scissors, the Sycho Sid theme started playing.
Average carpentry skills….
Sid to kevin nash: you are half the man i am.
Also sid to kevin nash: i have half the brain you do.
@Stephen Joens I'm not sure. I saw it in a wwe top 10 mishaps or something like that.
Sid on his way to the ring to fight Shawn Michaels in WWF: "I don't know shit!"
Yo that shit gets me every time i wonder what the truth is lol it had to be his mistake by the way the guys were bugging out

RIP Sid. Fuck cancer.
Sid really needed the AWA to still exist during the 1990s. Lighter work schedule so he could go play softball.
There wasn't an AWA after 91.
@Joe Greene Yeah. Maybe. 🤔
@@froggy556 I thought AWA shut down end of 1990?. I miss AWA wrestling. Even though it really sucked by 1990.
There was still a small, loyal fanbase to AWA that actually liked how Verne didn’t cave into gimmicks and wanted a more serious presentation
I loved his promos
He would yell and scream
Then just whisper
Then he did that little laugh to himself
RIP
Yes, and his pre-appearance vignettes in WWF, only about 10 seconds long, no talk, just Sid's wet face glaring into the camera, then that little laugh.
Over here in Belfast . I saw him take on the undertaker. It was iconic seeing them doing their nose to nose spot in real life...
Anyway I was ringside and Sid and taker were outside the ring.
Big Sid had a crappy fold up Irish wooden chair (no steel ones) lol
And as Big Sid was pummelling him with it.
Some fool threw something at Sid.
Without missing a beat, Sid turns and with evil intensity and veins everywhere turns round and yells "cmon you effing bastit"...
Always loved Sid .
We used to get NWA/WCW late night on a Tuesday but was never in time until we got sky TV in 91. Where my first ppv was summerslam 91
Always sad when a hero dies. But in his body of work he will never grow old..
Best wishes to you his friends and family

When he bend that leg like play Doo, it still hurts to watch it.
Hurts to just think about it. 20 years later
My mom is a RN and loves that gruesome shit. When it happened on tv I had to call her over to the living room to see it.
I wasn’t sure if it was a work or not. She was showing how there’s no way they could’ve faked that.
Brutal!
Play-Doo sounds like a horrible toy to play with
Saw this on Sin PPV felt bad for him!
"I met him at a softball tournament"
Me: *nearly dies because he was drinking when he heard that*
Sid Vicious used to scare me shitless.
I remember him throwing TD Steel around like a rag doll in the ring.
Sid had a 10 million dollar look not a million dollar but 10 million. You can't train that look its a gift.
You can train that look. Just takes proper nutrition, a dedicated exercise regimen, and enough anabolic steroids that would even make Arnold go “that’s a lot of steroids!”
@@dr.floridamanphd all the working out in the world won't make you 6'7". Alot of bodybuilder type wrestlers aren't that tall. Sid and Kane are probably the only 2 to be that tall and that jacked . So it is a gift .

@@MrJjburgess11 exactly
We know Sid was on gear but unlike Lex Luger or Ultimate Warrior Sid had a "natural" look. He looked like a big farm boy. AWA Scott Hall and Goldberg had the same thing.
Sid was the best heel. I've always liked him.
Open your eyes. Look what you're looking at. See what you see. It's called the power. The power of the powerbomb, and no one gets up from that. - Sycho Sid
Bret hart: "...blah blah blah"
Sycho Sid: "I didn't know shit."
Sid actually said, "I Don't Owe Shit." That's when Bret Hart went on a Rant on Raw. Bret said Sid owe's him another shot, and Sid came out saying, "I Don't Owe Shit."

Well at least we get better more entertaining matches now then we did with the steroid junky "men" of the past.
"Sycho Sid" came from Gorilla Monsoon in 1992 during his first run in WWF - Vince just repurposed it, and it is good shit
Another great example of everything is personal with Corny: Sid was a huge star, fantastic, the size, the look, the charisma...but he wasn't a crazy/obsessed with wrestling and/or didn't kiss his ass, so he's awful.
Oh yeah, and even Arn admits he started it, he went to Sid's room, he went for a weapon...
Sid had some solid runs but I can't say he was a huge star but he was on top a lot because look at him. However, all in all he wasn't worth it because he didn't care about wrestling or it's hectic schedule and you knew he would be out at least 3 months a year.
Arn should have known that you don't mess with Sid.
Sid is probably a Republican so Corny hates him.
Yeah no
Sid is awesome. He's tied with Stone Cold as my 2nd favorite wrestler of all time.
I LOVE SID! I disagree with Cornette. He was one of my favorites
@bigevilworldwide1 The kid watching him on TV is all that counts. If the kids like him and the audience likes him it means he is drawing money and thats all that counts
The Sid Vicious promo prep method:
1) Bicep curls and lat shrugs for twenty straight minutes.
2) Angel dust. Pure and uncut Bogotá Booya.
3) Scream fifth grade-level nonsense into TV camera.
Scott Steiner reduced that to just #1 and #3
tapset47 im glad someone else knows what they're talking about
Two different drugs as others have pointed out.
@Stephen Joens Yeah, I was just looking for his pre Wrestlemania 8 match promo. I liked it.
Lat shrugs?.?. U mean Lat pulls & trap shrugs. 2 different muscles & exercises as well as those drugs.
"Met him at a softball tournament." This has to be Sid asking this question lol.
He managed to get an ECW crowd to pop like crazy, how I do not know.
As much as I love the Pops from the ECW crowd, they were legitimate super marks. I remember taka michinoku showing up for one match, and the entire building was there chanting for him not to go back. They weren't popping bcuz they respect him, they were doing it because he was a WWF guy who showed up.
@tapset47 they weren't saying: "Don't go back to NJPW"

Sid in a nutshell: Softball, Squeegee, Stabbing. lol
Laughed hard at the "I met him at a softball tournament" line. :D
Sid got a pop even as a heel in the WWF
Especially against Hogan and Shawn
That's because Shawn was a stripper that they pushed as face... Only the worst heels wouldn't get cheered. Also, at the time of Hogan, Hogan was stale and multiple heels had already gotten cheered when they faced Hogan 4 years earlier, so by the time he fought Sid it didn't matter anymore
@@fatalsniper3413 Hogan also legitimately screwed him over in the Royal Rumble that one time too.
Gorilla Monsoon referred to him as "Psycho Sid" during his first run in 1991-1992. Jim Cornette did not invent that nickname.
Sid was calling himself 'Psycho Sid' in WCW when he walked to the ring. You can see that in his WCW Squash Matches circa 1993.
And in 1999
Weird for Jimmy to take credit for it
Still the Ruler and Master of this world
Whenever Jim does any impressions of Vince’s voice I can’t contain my laughter. It’s so spot on
Honestly Sid is one of my favorite big men of all time. He may not have been anything too special in the ring, but he checked all the other boxes that make a wrestler fun to watch as a fan. Look, charisma, intensity, and he was committed to whatever gimmick he was working. In the ring, he was at least safe and some of his shit did look good, like his powerbomb.
Rip Sid
I can speak first hand of Sid softball talent. I’ve never seen a guy move that fast that was that big. He could also crush a softball. Not my uncle’s softball though. My uncle was a grade a pitcher and
Sid could never hit well against him.
Sid was my favourite wrestler of all time😢
Sid Justice was the coolest in 96/97
Also, Sycho Sid, Squeegee Sid, Scissor Sid, Softball Sid. So much alliteration!
Yeah but some of Brock's appeal was/is that he can actually fight, which wasn't the case with Sid, at least compared to his size and build...
The fact that sid was white with a Jeri curl made him terrifying
Dang that working with farm chemicals hit different after hearing about his death and possibly being caused by chemicals that cause cancer.
Wow now that I think about it, Sid did always look like a juiced up Baseball player lol.
It should be noted that Arn stabbed Sid first. In fact, Arn started the fight after Sid said that Ric Flair not stepping out of the way for the young guys is why WCW wasn't drawing money.
Loved Sid. When he threw his opponent in the air and spun them round was awesome
He could be Michael Rooker's stunt double.

Worse can be said of Sid is that he hit a guy with an arm of chair - once (he said he didn't even do that).
Arn on the other hand, stabbed a guy half a dozen and nearly killed him 😂😂😂😂
Should've called him Softball Sid.
If someone stabs me with scissors, you’re damn right I’m going to stab them back.
Jim’s story is the complete opposite from every other witness account. Jim heard Arn’s story while other versions are from actual witnesses.

Jim gave Sid the name "Sycho Sid"...meanwhile, according to many others, Arn was the one who attempted to murder Sid with a beer bottle and scissors. Imagine if the hotel had security cameras in the halls.
Cornette is simply marking for Arn here. He wasn't even in the company and has no clue what the fuck hes talking about. Like Dave Meltzer, he thinks he has the best version of everything. Its universally agreed upon that Arn Anderson was absolutely the main aggressor
I can't think of another wrestler that looked as intimidating and terrifying as Sid. He would have made one heck of a terminator or opponent for Sylvester stallone in a Rocky movie

Working out twice a day when you're on the road isn't a small expenditure of energy\time.
It wasn't Edward G Robinson, it was James Cagney.
Its hysterical the way Cornette acts like Sid was a nobody and that Arn was some great professional. Talk about being a biased simp for the Horseman, and also lying about an event that he had nothing to do with. Facts: Sid was a star and drew money. He was over whether he was a face or a heel. And he LITERALLY was given the chance to directly succeed Hogan in the WWF. Arn Anderson's sole claim to fame is being Flair's lackey. Dude never drew a dime on his own merit for his entire career. No look. No charisma. Nothing special in the ring. Just Flair's main "boy." To pretend that Arn was a greater success in the business than Sid is simply laughable. Its not even remotely close.
