@@BenRangel He was making generalisations, basically saying you need to be of a certain age to gain enough relevant life experience to properly understand the people you represent. An 80 yr old's experience in youth doesn't relate that well to current young adults.
Not that a particular 80 yr old is incapable of that in depth understanding.
For me it would be having demographic targets rather than age limits for representatives. So the demographic of your representatives is similar to the people they represent

Germany is an altruistic country. We try to thing of the future and how next generation will have to handle stuff.
We don't put the burden on the generation in 20 - 50 years.
We aren't lazy! 83 Million people are the 4# GDP by Country in the World.
We are willing to work for ouer benifits without destroing the planet for the future generations.
Everyone saing "madness to shut down the nuclear power" is a selfish unresposible human.
Those reactors where over there lifespan so it is the right thing to shut them down.
Some of them eaven have craks in ther buildings.
      Fun fact:
Germany is producing more energie with its Windturbine than it can use! We sell ouer energie to france and pay money for it so ouer powergrid will not get overwellmed.
The real problem is the transportation of this energy, Stupit citizen don't want new powerlines going by there houses.
Again selfish behaviour, thats stops us from having a better future.
Dont blame germany for shutting down the reactors it is 100% the right choise.
Germany dosen't need nuclear powerplants. We already produce to much elektrisity.
We just need to get rid of generation 50+. They are stopping the future because all they want is a better future for the last 20 years of there lives.

The EU forced Lithuania to shut down its nuclear power plant as it joined, saying its reactors were the same as the ones in Chornobyl. Even though that disaster was due to human error AND the fact that the plant in Lithuania had countless hardware and software updates since 1986. The irony is that after the EU took away our energy independence, Belarus built a nuclear power plant just miles away from our border.
As a Lithuanian, I gotta say, this interview hits a little too hard.

The sad fact is that Lithuania homes are paying 0.52 euros/KWhr, most it produced by expensive imported LNG. The cost of delivered electricity from their nuke plant was around 0.03 to 0.05/KWhr. That would allow comfortable living including home heating with electricity. The reality is, When we do take action, We must also compete with him, And Elon has become a social construct of the central banks. About the only person who can actually compete wit hElon is Jeff Bezos ( A competition he seems to be loosing.) Th free market model of capitalism allows the market to decide what succeeds and fails, But makes no accommodation for humanity, Just the most efficient and most affordable versions of anything created. Nobody has created anything that meets all of someones needs, Just the computer, That helps each individual decide what their real needs are. So I would add as a caveat, Instead of being inspired by this man, And the hope that technology will save us, We need to become more concerned with helping ourselves, And others around us who's struggle we can understand. Because nobody is coming to save us, Just to sell us things.

@Nad Jones totally off topic to discuss, I know.
But you refer to the number of the beast from the John revelations in the book of revelations in the Bible.
But did you know that it isn’t about our future. It’s about the Roman Empire back then. The number of the beast is not about a future person. I don’t recall the name where it refers to, but it’s from one of the RE leaders. Look it up.
I’am a ch also. But it’s not always useful to add it in discussion from my opinion. Being a Christian may provide wisdom and morality, and to use that wisdom in the way you see things, without having to mention the source, makes a Christian adult Christian.
It’s like Paul said. When you are a young Christian you eat and drink milk. When you grow older in Christ you use adult food. Bad translation. I know. It’s also like he teaches in his letter to Roman believers. Grow up. Get changed in the way you think. And translated from the Greek letter, it said: the same way of thinking but different thought. Speak Greek to the Greek, speak as a Christian among Christians, as a Jew among Jews. It’s to say: as a human among humans, a scientist among scientists. It’s of no use to speak as a Christian among Jews or scientist. You have to blend in your Christianity to your audience. Speak the moral language people speaks. Jesus did just that. That way you can reach hearts.

People no matter their age have a right to their opinion - who is to say they should or should not change their minds, or whether they will in reality hold their opinion or change it? Even if they are old they are free to hold the beliefs they have and it is their right to do so. While it is a shame the white house system has been operating like a sham, the time to contest it should have been in the court system had it not been so corrupted on top of the corrupted voting system. In any case, America is left with this mess and the senility will have to be lived with or dealt with using constitutional means. Pray that the US will overcome this tragic set of events.

It's amazing how the world's wealthiest man is so down to Earth. I mean the dude lives in a damn tiny house. I guess you could make a similar argument for Warren Buffett who still lives in the same house he bought before he was wealthy, but what has he contributed to society other than his old house?
Elon isn't afraid to admit his flaws, he has legitimate concerns about humanity going forward, things that go over most people's heads. So to the ones telling him to clean the oceans instead of going to Mars, how about tell Bezos that instead; tell him to focus on making sustainable shipping materials because I've got a ton of bubble wrap envelopes from him that I have to throw away because my recycling center doesn't t take them. Elon is focused on bigger issues.

Its dumped every where causing more global pollution/contamination and cancer than anything ever created and disposed of properly has to be put into excavated caves so what's the carbon footprint left after all that work.
And why do I care about going to Mars while people like him/billionaires use there power and influence to charge us through the nose for everyday living while they get richer and we get poorer.

A truly inspiring man, always looking at the bigger picture and doesn't get enough credit he deserves. People hate on him just because he's a billionaire and not doing what they want him to do with his money. Yet when in reality he genuinely seems set on securing the existence of humanity, plenty of other billionaires out there not tryna do anything but buy luxuries and live the kick back life.

Electrolysis to produce hydrogen to replace natural gas (for household uses in cookers and heating).

There's only one love that can bring happiness and it's not coming from another human being, people only hurt eachother and never fully love another 100% of course there's the love for your child and it comes close but there's always a chance of a break, no matter how small the chance is there.

Elon is clear and unambiguous. I like the caveat about nuclear in areas where there are earthquakes and danger from hurricanes. I'm 80 and agree about death as do most of my elderly friends. The atheists among us seem more ready to die -- strangely since we're certain that the time after our death will be simply the same as the time before our birth. Life is the journey between the two great eternities. I've listened to many interviews with Elon and, although I disagree with him on this or that issue, he always has something to say. He also seems to self-correct which is very important.
