This is one of two songs Kurt worked on in Robert Lang's studio. This studio session was the last one the band had together. This was gonna be on a new album (obviously after in utero) but that album was never finished hence this is one of the two songs the band worked on then Kurt died.
Someone isolate Kurt's vocals from the original Do Re Mi recording and put it over this, we'll get a real taste of what a new Nirvana album would've been like.
There is no way to isolate the vocals from the one recording we have. It's vocals and guitar on a single track cassette. Allegedly, there is a band recording with Kurt on drums and vocals, Pat on guitar and Eric Erlandson on bass. If such a recording exists, it's probably in Frances Bean's possession if it hasn't been lost.
This is the version I like, I searched everywhere for this. excellent cover my good man, one of my favorite songs. You absolutely nailed it, Kurt would be proud.
It’s really good, but even Kurt didn’t know what Nirvana’s exact sound was. The other two said he was constantly tweaking even on stage (you can see and hear him doing it during the Reading gig) trying to find new sounds. From what I’ve read about him it’s likely Kurt had something in his head, some idealised sound that he could never actually replicate even in a studio. This sounds a bit like Nevermind in terms of the guitar, but not really anything else. It’s still a great cover.
I actually think Kurt would love this. Close to the sound he was after maybe. Sweet cover. Such a beautiful song by a beautiful soul, goes to show you how talented a songwriter Kurt really was, and people say Nirvana were overrated, maybe Nirvana but not Kurt
Yeah I've heard that overrated claim too. It makes no sense to me cause when you listen to the musical quality and amount he was able to create over such a short time---it becomes quite obvious that he and the band were a torrent of talent tragically gone too soon.
Here She Comes Now was a great addition the The Velvet Underground Tribute Album...No other band could have done a better job! Nirvana is my favorite band! I know ALL their songs and can play all of them on drums!

And I sill find something new in thesame tracks, I dont know what is it, so much magic in this music, he had kind of a distance to this world shitty mess, Kind of a sad person but still happy inside, I dont know how to explain that, always makes my happy listening to nirvana.
