One of the main reasons for enjoying watching your reaction videos is that you come across as authentic without pretention. You listen with great focus and know what you are talking about. These days so many ignorant self promoters with a camera at their disposal, ignorant comments and all kinds of gimmicks are all over UA-cam to attract the attention of viewers of same level ignorance have jumped in the bandwagon of Dimash reaction videos because they have heard Dimash has become such a worldwide vocal sensation - which they hope it will help the poor souls to collect subscriptions. I love the way he appears to direct the sound out of himself with his arms and hands like he's a wizard. He sends it out and away, then he brings it back in, he keeps it hanging... he is a master.
He makes me want a vocal coach so bad. I could never touch his level of mastery, but I do have a pretty large range for someone untrained, I think there's something to work with.

Thank you Valerie for a very sincere and professional analysis. Yes Dimash makes it seem so easy and effortless. Igor has retold how Dimash asked him to compose this for him. As Dimash and Igor premiered it during the same occasion as Stranger and Fly Away I beleive Dimash very intentionally wanted to display his versatility and that he is not bound to the usual boarders of genres as an artist. Love from 🇸🇪.

This was another very enjoyable reaction and analysis. I always appreciate your expert commentary and the information you share with your audience. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and I am moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
The following information is presumably not news to you, so it is more for the benefit of others. This is a vocalise interpretation of the opening vocals of Schubert's “Ave Maria”. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. The piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone likened it to “a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!”
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult vocal exercises and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master.
There are at least 10 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. *There is a famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

I’m so glad for your Sunday morn reaction for me this wonderful rendition of ave Maria. I’ve never even listened to the song, but is was wonderful hearing dimash in his soprano register. I don’t think Dimash had it easy as a young man singing in his female registers amount the male youth in his education systems. But you gave him his due here. I thought almost 2 years ago from vocal coaches and Wikipedia that he had a 6 octave range. But in 2017 when this was established among the professional music community. Dimash sang the D8 in Gakku and inthe drunken concubine and diva dance he hit unusual sounds from the first octave. Your a professional. Dimash is not going to disciples anything like that. But when you hear his range give him credit. Him doing this makes it okay for young males to explore their high registers if they have training and ability. Dimash has raised the bar for both male and female singers. You have to catch singers up to the possibilities that dimash show us what the voice can do. I respect what you’re doing highly. I watch you a lot. Thanx for this reaction. You made my spiritual morning.

Absolutely brilliant reaction and analysis. Your experience and expertise show through with such ease and authenticity - especially when breaking down the vocal techniques employed and how much work is involved to accomplish them. I also deeply appreciate your knowledge that this *an* Ave Maria, not 'the' Ave Maria that Schubert composed. Ever since I sobbed my way through a first listen to Dimash and Igor's composition/vocalise, I have listened to several other versions and this one is by far my favourite. Then again, it is Dimash and Igor - a magical, mystical, majestic combination, in my humble opinion. :)
No need to apologize for stopping. I’m sure there have been people complaining. I for one thank you and other vocal coaches. Since my journey with Dimash at least 2 years or more, I have learned so much how the voice works and vocal chords, and all the stuff I was not familiar with. On the other hand it is a little irritating when someone stop after each sentence. It ruins the flow of the song. You do not fall into that category and your analysis and opinions are appreciated.

One Russian music critic explained this performance very well. What is a fabula of song ''Ave Maria''? The angel Gabriel came to young Maria, greeted her, and told, that she was blessed to be a mother of God's son. Gabriel told all a story of what will happen with Jesus... That is why we hear minor notes of the chorus... like a sorrow out exhalation... Then Gabriel said goodbye and fly away... left just a star before her eyes. Angels do not need words. Everything Maria felt in her heart. I think this performance is genial.
