this is by far the best tutorial on this, you saved my song! Also love that you move around slowly in the DAW so that we don't have to keep rewinding to see what you clicked! Too many other channels expect you to know where everything is already
honestly vast appreciation for you brother, i’ve been having troubles with distortion when I bounce my tracks and couldn’t work out how to fix it so huge props to you my g
Massive help, takes me a while to wrap my head around all of these functions but this is a simple and clean walkthrough. The Loudness Meter side by side with the Limiter to see how much gain to use tip is a gem. Thank you!
Thank you so much limiting/mastering is the hardest thing for me right now and this video helped a lot. Can't wait for the mastering video keep it up your channel will get the recognition it deserves!
Great video man! I'm just changing from recording mixed up stereo tracks from my mixer to multichannel drum recording with 10 mics and and 18i20 and an OctoPre. This helps a lot to arrange everything with Logic! Keep up the great work!🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for this video! I watched a handful of tutorials before stumbling across your video and they were bit hard to grasp for a novice like myself. This was straightforward and well-explained 👍
Awesom! Most of them just show you which plug in to use but you give an explanation in details on it function. Well thanks hopefully more tips from you. FYI I’m a just a beginner in LPX.
Greeting from Guatemala, been tying to find tutorials about Logic Pro, you make it so simple, just want to thank. you for this tutorial really really helpful. u have a new subscriber, hope u make more tutorials
If it’s like a part where the beat cuts out and it’s only vocals then it’s okay for it to go out of those ranges but if your entire song is all over the place that means you mixed it wrong, you have to have everything sounding even and blended together well
@@mixedbyap thanks for that bro, no it's throughout the whole track, I guess I have to put more compressors then to make volume more even, will try it out 👍🏼tnx
Question…towards the end of the video, after you applied both plugins…the meter on the far right was in the red clipping. I thought you indicated that was a bad thing and this necessitated the aforementioned plugins ? Curious is all. Can you explain ?
Of course men, i've learned a lot just right now, i've been watching some tutorials here in youtube but they don't know how to explain, thank you so much for this it helps me a lot!!!
I always add a limiter even if it’s just to bounce the track and master it in another session, when you’re mastering you’re gonna use another limiter as well.
yo appreciate the video was very helpful. one thing though for the future, the m and s in the loudness meter actually stands for momentary and short term signal levels and not mono and stereo
Thank buddy for all the had work, I use logic x for all my productions but I am an intermediate kinda producers. Just came across your videos and I love that you work with logic builtin plug-ins. Cheers.
Thanks for the tutorial I read somewhere that this limiter pluggin isnt really the one to control the output level. On chatgpt it says that the adaptive limiter plug-in is the one that does that with the output ceiling. Can you please comment on that and also, can you make a video on the level settings required so that a song doesnt distort on Instagram reels. Those reels always destroy the quality of my songs and i dont know what im doing wrong. I see that other music dont have this problem
Very useful video, thank you! I put the Limiter onto the Stereo Out chanel but after bouncing my song to a final wave data, the limiter had no effect on it? What I did wrong? :( Thank you, cheers! Arpad
BRO! Thank you so much! Out of all the videos I've watched regarding limiter, yours is the easiest to understand! Can you make a tutorial how to fully MASTER a song? Thanks!
Hey man really loving your videos!!!! Can you do a video explaining what you would do to mix a mp3 beat because I know a lot of us don’t have the luxury to work with a producer. So for example if the mp3 beat isn’t hitting hard enough with bass would you eq it or... Thanks !!
That was good! I learned how to mix comfortably cause of you and now I’m just waiting on that master tutorial so I can comfortably tell people I mix and master songs, not just mix...
@@mixedbyap I’m just a engineer. I don’t like being front and center. I prefer being behind the scenes. But I got a lot of people I know with mad talent that I’m trying to help. So I’m excited to be on this journey with my friends! He got a call from Alamo Records saying they wanna talk business!
I’m the same way bro I like behind the scenes stuff better. Engineers are the most important people in the industry every artist needs one that’s why it’s easier to become successful faster. My first year engineering I was able to move to LA get a full time job at the best studio in LA and I got so many credits right away was working with big people I was like wtf lol compared to artists who take 5+ years to find any success
@@mixedbyap exactly! Nobody knows my name by at least the artists know who I am and always let me tag along to shows and watch them grow which is all that matters to me. But excited to use the template you posted in one of your other videos! I have my own but I’m sure yours will be helpful! Your material has always helped make me better! So fr thank you! But what if certain parts of a song are way below - 12 and certain parts are way above -9?

omg I'm a music major learning this in class, but you explained this so much easier. Thank you!
how is school/ music going?
Great video!! M and S in the loudness meter does not stand for mono and stereo. It means momentary and short-term.
What about the integrated on the loudness meter? I think you have to check that as well and be sure you're not over 14.
Dude you are Awesome! You just helped me solve a problem that I’ve been having for years! Thanks for the info!
thanks for your support! what else can I make videos on to help?
Loudness meter plug-in and LUFS scale. M - Momentary loudness. S- Short term loudness. I - integrated loudness. This is not M = mono and S = stereo.
Please keep teaching you have something about you that makes it easy to just listen to you

do you recommend adding the limiter for the master and call it a day or actually exporting the song into a new project to master?
