    These days, I'm just randomly searching the internet for more Lander play-throughs. I think this game looks absolutely amazing!

    This looks good. I'd love to see one of the other game modes played too if that's possible.

    The game was actually a tie. Ruel had 11 points and then completed a mission to get to 12. Dan only got to 12, but when Ruel went to count he only counted the cards in front of him and forgot his 1 point on the board. It is funny what will get forgotten when people are on camera and have a clock to watch. Would have been fun to see the tie breaker.

    Wow... this game got intense quick! (hit enter a couple of times because it's kind of spoiler-esque.

    Did anyone see the GM podium, from Shield of Tomorrow, in the background? I thought that was a nice touch.

    Interesting game but seems like a lot to track and remember. Are there negative events that occur?

      Thanks for your feedback. We're planning on adding resource and mission star trackers in the final version, so that should make it a little easier to keep track of everything (you can see other improvements/stretch goal ideas here: www.landerthegame.com/feedback). In terms of the events, a bunch of them are negative in nature (e.g. losing a crew member, losing a structure, higher costs to expand/upgrade). We've designed them so that there is always a choice, so even when something bad happens, you have some agency in how you respond to the crisis. For example, some cards might give you the option of something bad happening to your corporation... or something good happening for all the others.

    Looks like you deleted my last comment, further proving it's relevance. I'll take that as confirmation that this will indeed be another example of Towers of Conquest where you play an early copy, then the game never actually comes out for us to buy...

      Hey CrashSable! We're not sure what happened to your last comment or Towers of Conquest so we're likely missing some context here, but we (Intrepid Games) have every intention of releasing Lander. We've been working on it for 5 years and are taking every step we can to have a successful Kickstarter in March. Without the community's support we won't be able to fund a print run, but we hope that videos like this will help introduce players to the the game and grow our profile. We've also invested in a mini-print run of 130 copies which we've been sent to FLGS and cafes around the world to help give as many players a chance to play as possible before the campaign launches. If you're interested in trying Lander out for yourself, you can find a list of all our Play Before You Pledge venues at www.landerthegame.com/play-before-you-pledge.

    I've tried to like Game the Game, but it seems fake and forced. TableTop was more relatable.

      That is an interesting observation. I always felt the opposite way. TableTop seemed a lot higher budget (and probably was) with more famous guests, more money in animation, editing etc. , but at the same time, it felt more like a scripted and curated view experience with the interviews and cuts in gameplay. Game the Game feels much more natural.

    • @arakuss1
      @arakuss1 5 років тому +4

      The problem with TableTop was there was several times they got the rules wrong and it was hard to at times follow gameplay because it was edited. Also there was just to much goofing off and people seemed to be doing that more than playing the game I do like this better for both entertainment value as well as seeing how the game plays out. So I like this far better. Plus Will was just annoying at times and it seemed like lets see who can beat him.

    • @knarp7063
      @knarp7063 5 років тому

      To me TableTop was more consistent, like it or not it did it's thing the same way, regardless of the game. Game the game on the other hand relies so much on what guests are on. Some episodes are borderline cringey (like this one) while some are fantastic. It all depends on if the game and people "click".
