@@matheusvillela9150 Holy shit you're right, I forgot they made that a big deal about it earlier in the movie when they went there. What was even the significance of that?
@maxkull2899 originally, when Adam left the house he wasn't transported to the moon of Saturn. When it was filmed, it was originally a bunch of gears and clocks and electricity. He was basically stepping into time itself. That was why there was a time difference originally. As for this scene, it's better that Beetlejuice sends Barbara to the moon of Saturn. It makes the ending more of a surprise. It makes us think she is in danger and makes it so that Beetlejuice is a victim of his own actions. Much better ending. In the first ending, when you see her make the decision to leave the house, it's far more obvious how it's going to end.
This version was probably less clear to viewers. The shot of her opening the door is so quick that they may not have realized she was going to Saturn. There's also no shot of her leaping off the sandworm. The final version adds more clarity to the sequence of events.
I’m sure this is an unfinished edit of the alternate scene. If this were in the film, they would’ve polished up the editing and continuity and added shots like leaping off the sand-worm.

This is the version that’s on hbo. I watched it four times now on this past two weeks. I was like “what’s different?” Turns out hbo has the alternate scene in it. But one part that Tim Burton didn’t remember is time passes by faster on Saturn. At the beginning of the movie, Adam was there for two hours according to Barbara (who was in the house timeline) when Adam first walked into Saturn’s sands. And he spent only two seconds on Saturn. So in conclusion, Beetlejuice’s wedding should have been over for a few hours by the time Barbara brings back a sand worm. Unless perhaps a sand worm travels fast enough to eat beetlejuice before they said I Do. The reason I’m saying this is because. Does the original ending not have the worm? If so, this is probably why^

Still really cool.
@fanime1 sorry again for shouting replies.
Heard of cinematic sequel history of Winona & Tim being unsure of whether to make a sequel, then only wanting to make a sequel if it was genuinely fitting.
Then, Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian was pitched, but it was either not a real pitch, or was intentionally bad, or was not received well, or something?
Then other random obstacles.
Was it just one sequel? Was Hawaiian a real pitch? Sorry for the laziness or depression feeling on my part.
could you summarize the history of Ti BJ attempted sequels?
Year, action, obstacle, effect.
then Michael saying the character is one of his favorite characters.
even though he wasn't sure about the role.
(Didn't know if it was a good fit, or if he was right, or what the character was, and/or etc.
and it was before Batman, so he had not yet worked with TB, or did they make both films at the same time, or BJ first then BM, or BM then BJ.
Did he know the writers and Tim Burton?
Not related to writer, just a last name.

Я конечно всё понимаю он её безумно любит и всё такое но чтобы устраивать Хаос в мире живых это как-то уж чересчур
It's a shame that the sequel didn't live up to the original.
I disagree. I think they're both good in their own way.

People need to learn how to read - it doesn’t say alternate ending, you made that up.
That's still considered an alternate ending or an alternate cut. Even though the difference is small, it has a big change in meaning.
oh yeah this is better actaully
*actually
@@GetRekt-bw6pu i was trying to tell my friend named actaually
This beetlejuice movie is wayyyyy better than the 2 one The maitlands are really missed It don’t make sense for Lydia to have a daughter on the 2 one 😅😅😅😅
Why shouldn't Lydia have a daughter?
It’s nothing different to the official one
The only part different is you see Barbara run off to Saturn during the ceremony to get the sandworm
@@zipjay There's also an extra shot of Barbara leaping off the sandworm in the final version. It was probably modified to make the whole sequence of events clearer. I bet test audiences weren't sure how Barbara got to Saturn because the original shot of her opening the door is so quick.
