    Thanks so much for your video! It helped me make one for a cousin’s gender reveal. 😊 Tip I think you mentioned…don’t pop the balloon until you’re done wrapping it with the rope and it has set for a day. I popped my half way of wrapping the rope and it was easily dented. 😮I had to put another balloon in and inflate it to keep it firm while finishing up.

      I’m so glad it worked out! I still have my bee hive, I actually hung it in my son’s room since his room has a forest theme 🥰

    Opposite of what I was looking for. I wanted something that looked like a normal, gender-reveal balloon, but was instead filled with bees.

    How do you get the bottom part of the balloon paper mached if the roll of tape is taped down there?

    • @Kristina_summer
      @Kristina_summer  Рік тому +2

      By the time I get to the bottom part of the balloon, the top part has dried. So, I just hold it in my hand and then place the paper mache at the bottom 👍🏼

    How did the flap not fall open whenever you went to pull the cord down? Whenever I untighten the twine it starts to open a little bit.

    • @Kristina_summer
      @Kristina_summer  Рік тому

      I had to wrap the twine around the loophole multiple times to stop from opening

    Love the intro!! 🤍 Now you are a professional at making these bee hives. You made it look so easy but I know it was so time consuming. 😂

    What size twine did you use? What is the ratio on the Elmers glue to water you measured? How long did you let set dry between the three sets? Thank so much in advance! ❤

    • @Kristina_summer
      @Kristina_summer  Рік тому +2

      I believe the twine I used was 2mm in width. The ratio for the paper mache is two parts Elmer's glue and 1 part water. In terms of letting the paper mache dry between sets, I didn't have to wait because I was placing the newspaper and turning it clockwise, so by the time I reached that side again, it was already dry. Let me know if you run into any problems!

      Thank you!!! I just completed the project and it literally is so such a work in progress and kr sure took me a weeks worth of about three hours or so a day. The hardest was the tracing with the jute, and the cutting at the bottom to make it stay closed. Thank you so much for your help!

      @@marlamelendez9879 would you say it’s worth making ? I have someone at Etsy that will charge me $60 for it

      @@biancarodriguez7123 I guess it depends how it looks from the seller on Etsy, but if you have the time to work on it; you should totally take a stab at this DIY project. You can add your own spin to it, and I’ve already received so many compliments. I would drop photos or videos here of how my version came out but I don’t think UA-cam allows for that.

    Do you let it dry In-between layer 1,2, and 3?

    • @Kristina_summer
      @Kristina_summer  2 роки тому +1

      Because of the size of the balloon, by the time I finished the first layer, it would be somewhat dry/ ready for a second layer. To fully dry, it would take all night so, it’s not necessary to do that.
