Made my own with a diff recipe and it is the bomb, used a simple sugar syrup though and I used whole dried peppers...accidentally left those in too long, man it'll make your head sweat with a shot...going to try it again and next time not leave those in any where near what I did last time lol.
+Joseph Benavidez I really like Evan Williams actually. But you're not going to find anything AMAZING at this price point. I am more of a scotch guy anyways.
+Joseph Benavidez If you like Jim Beam, check out Old Grand Dad 100 Proof, Wild Turkey 101, and WL Weller. All tasty bourbons and none are very expensive.
Not IMO, cinnamon isn't soluble in alcohol (or water). So you'd just have to filter out the tiny cinnamon particles anyway (or drink them I guess). But if you put a equal amount of ground cinnamon to the 5 sticks he used and did not filter it out you'd probably have something that wasn't drinkable and would be inventing a new kind of cinnamon challenge:)
My guess is that fireball is actually made by adding a simple syrup to the whisky. And that's why it is taken down to 66 proof as opposed to the whisky base of 80 proof. So you could make a cinnamon infused simple syrup, add that to a Canadian Whisky and you'd have something closer to the real thing. Though IMO this vid gives a much better recipe bc I think Evan Williams is probably better than whatever cheap(?) base Canadian whisky FB uses.
This guy looks blazed.
+Andrew Bolten It's allergies. I swear.
+Whiskey With Wes lol
This is good stuff...making my second batch tonight
After we were done, we dried the cinnamon sticks and ground them up for cinnamon and sugar.
Fireball is sold in a plastic bottle. And it's low proof, basically a liqueur. I just use it as a chaser for Everclear.
What a great DIY! Can't wait to try this.
+Maranda Nemeth Love to hear that! Let me know how it turns out!
for the money Evan Williams is good whiskey.Evan Williams 1783 is my favorite.

Great job
How many oz is that bottle of whiskey?

I may try making this with a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle
Is it ok to use a sweetener instead of sugar?
Some people even use fructose corn syrup
Great video.. Subbed
Could you make it without sugar I stopped drinking Fireball because it's too sugary but I miss Fireball LOL
What is some good reasonably priced (~20$) bourbon that you can enjoy neat? I have been looking for a quality one, my go to is Jim Beam.

I wonder if ground up cinnamon will be ok

Have anyone tried to speed up the infusing process using sous vide?
