Opel is not a rebadged Vauxhall, it's the other way around. The founder of Opel is Adam Opel from Russellheim in Germany, hence the location of Opel headquarters. Vauxhalls are for UK, Sunny are for the American market and Holden for the Australian market. OPEL for the rest of the world, even here in South Africa. Be that as it may, I say OPEL RULES!!!
They're all just different car manufacturers that have been brought together under the General Motors umbrella, and to save money they build car's either on the same platform, or just totally the same.
Also, the name Astra comes from Vauxhall, Opel called the same model the Kadett earlier on.
And I wish Australia never imported them biggest heap of shit.

like my dads Vectra vxr, or opc if you call it opel, hes put a single turbo on it and its got just under 500whp and its front wheel drive, it still keeps up with the r8's and out runs m5 and c63 with ease

It is actually not as impossible as you may think.With a well build motor and a big turbo it is possible.I don't know where to find more though..

Then there's something wrong with your car, they are very good handling. The chassis and handling was developed by lotus
result of crap tuning and wrong tuning...to much power for the front wheels. transmission cant handle the torge and power.

(For those who don't know, Opels are rebadged vauxhalls made for the american market, the cars are designed in the uk as vauxhall, but when someone wants to import it, they rebadge it as Opel. Also, GM is run by the British, Americans, Japanese etc, which is why it's called a "multinational company". (A multinational company is one that is run by different countrues)).

+Marco Sauermann the cars are designed in the uk (or at least some of them are). Also, how our steering wheel on the wrong side? That makes no sense. It's like saying left handed people write with the wrong hand.
