Even though this video is 5 yrs old, I've been sewing for 7 years but not garments. I use it for crafting, but wanted to try clothing ... for dolls first. I had a sewing by nancy book, the pbs wonderful instructor, and it was a viewer tips book, which I lost, but one person talked about sewing pin tucks in the round, and I always wanted to see a demo of that. I subbed. Thanks so much for uploading. I think your machine is made by Brother, which is what I have, and I love. You just drop in the bobbin and go.
Hi - so glad I came across your tutorial. It was very helpful and what a gorgeous heart. Being so new to pintucks, my mind was blank as far as what it could be used for. I hope you'll begin again posting more ideas. I think others would appreciate it as well. Thank you, Kathleen
Your pintuck heart is soooo beautiful! I have never seen anything like it before. What type of presser foot did you use to finish the area around the pintuck? Thanks!
Thank you so much! I used just a regular foot for the stitching and a pinstitch with a wing needle. length/width 2.5/2.5 :D Not hard, and really produces a nice finished look.
Thanks for getting back to me. I've got a regular foot, but what is a wing needle? I have a Twin Needle. Is that what you mean? Looks like we both are having another Saturday night at home!
Oh I was trying to post a picture here, but this gal did a good job explaining it: laurassewingstudio.com/Educational/Wingneedle/wingneedle.html Yes, I'm sorry it took me all day to reply! I've been baking all day. :D I saw it earlier and got a like in on my phone, but I wanted to make sure the reply was right to your comment. Kind of confusing on the phone!
Hi Deanna! Pintucks are made on the right side of the fabric. As you sew they 'pull up' giving the pretty tucked look on the front. This was on a scrap piece of fabric, so I appreciate you posting the question. Blessings, Theresa

Hi Patricia, thanks so much for watching. Sewing them in the round is simply joining your fabric and going for it. Such a fun technique!

Is it possible to work on knit fabric?
Hi, I haven't tried knit fabric, so testing it first on whatever fabric you use is a good idea. :)
Are you sewing on the wrong side or the right side of the fabric?

Using a stand out thread could be useful, I am new to this and have no idea of what I am looking at, I mean I see only white on the stitches....
nice expiation, but oh my eyes!! when you do a close up, it's so blurry!!!! didn't you notice????
