- Note I had to re-post this video because there was a problem with the audio! I also added some more to the end of the video 😊
While I was collecting acorns I came across these strange spiky things, growing out of the acorn cups. It turns out they are ‘Knopper galls’ a kind of oak gall made by the gall wasp.
Oak galls are a growth on the oak tree that contain lots of tannins, making them useful for making ink and natural dye.
I found so many oak galls that I decided to try some dye experiments.
I also sprouted the acorns I collected, hopefully I can grow some oak trees next year!
Thank you so much for watching and for your support!

I really enjoyed your video. Thank you
I absolutely loved those little moons! very inspired idea!
Your videos are interesting and relaxing. Your hair is beautiful. It's great that there are people like you to show us that there is an alternative to the modern frantic lifestyle and its cult of productivity.
I didn’t even now about existing galls 😅 I love the way you’re making videos
I love the effect of when you painted on the fabric and then dipped it in. Super pretty!
Love the video. The moons are so cute. I hope those acorns produce trees. How cool is that!
your art is so inspiring! I love it
Thank you ✨
What a lovely art 🤍
I am really surprised the acorns germinated, figured they needed vernalized first
