The big square bales are hay, not wheat. It's just grasses grown to provide livestock bedding and bulk food. The ground isn't plowed to grow hay; you just let it grow over naturally.
Mmm. Methinks they MAY need to balance the nighttime lighting. 😅 Like... yeah, it gets dark out in the country, but part of that is also that you have at least *some* natural light at least some of the time. I know it can't be helped to a certain extent, but I *do* wish that games were a little better about adding complimentary mechanics at the same time, i.e. at least a rudimentary form of a moon cycle for night time lighting when they updated the darkness to true night time. At least Zomboid isn’t anywhere *even vaguely near* being as bad as CDDA is. At this point, I feel like the primary Dev for CDDA has some sort of weird enjoyment for adding broken, buggy, and unplaytested mechanics to the main branch and then telling the player base to basically "suck it up" when they raise complaints. Even though those complaints are about how it's impossible to iron out the issues caused by layer a when you add layer b when it's half sorted out, and then throw layers c, d, e, and f through h before you even start to sort out layer b. (Yes, I'm a wee bit bitter that CDDA has decided that the definition of a "comprehensive" zombie survival game is "make this as absolutely unfun as possible, add as many janky and out of nowhere mechanics as possible, and completely trash the old lore to make the buggy new mechanics not seem like the complete BS that they are.")
I feel like they wanted to showcase their atmospheric nighttime lighting so they decided that every night would be extremely overcast and with a new moon
That's fair enough, though I wonder if they do plan on adding moonphases? Alternatively, maybe some governmental body "removed" the moon and the zombie outbreak is just what happens without a moon in the Zomboid universe, lol.@@Rhadamant
I still like crowbars, but I'm starting with baseball bats because they're lighter than a crowbar. Hopefully that causes less strain and lets me level up until I can deal with a crowbar.
Apparently crowbars, because they are tools, are not effective at leveling up skills as weapons that are not tools ( this is what I have been told, have not confirmed )
Thank you for all the amazing content and the awesome video!!
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. 🙂

Beats falling into a pit trap you've just dug up. :P

It said in green font that some of the recipes were learnt by your profession or traits.

Probably should have done the tow the opposite way.
Mayhaps I should have

So, with the newfound darkness and no Moon / stars at night, are there any non-electrical light sources like oil lamps, torches, splinters, etc.?
Hmm .. I am not sure
Propane lanterns for sure, I have seen them. I think there is another old fashioned fuel one as well.
Do the pigs eat zombie bodies?
Not as far as I know
First 👍
Yes you are!
First the worst, second the best....
