A whimsical touch I came up with for those cold (or hot) weighted shift knobs: baby mittens, from WalMart or wherever. Lightweight cotton mittens for hot days, woolen ones for cold. Just pop them on as needed, pull back off when temperature equalizes after driving a while. Get small ones that fit snugly, in different colors to match your trim or fit your mood. 🙂
I'm doing wheels and tires first. Gonna start with slapping winters on the factory wheels towards the end of summer, and at the end of winter I'll be ordering in wheels n tires. I've been staring at Konig dekagrams latelt
@@saulespino3037 mine was pretty much brand new only like 9k miles on it so I overpaid a lot 30k but you can honestly find some with decent miles for about 15-20k
These tips ar really cool, and your car sounds really nice. Yeah, "I completely forgot the weight of my knob" and "This knob is gonna be ice cold". Lol anyway,ur vids are really awesome.
I got a '13 86 just a couple weeks ago. Loving it! However wanted to ask if there's any way to move the pedals? They're too far in for my preference. Moving the seat forward brings me too close to the steering wheel, making it uncomfortble but far behind the pedals are too far. It's usable but kinda stretches at times. I'm 5'9" so idk what's up.
Header & tune go hand in hand. The TRD springs are great if you want a 1 inch drop. Going lower isn’t practical, especially for me bc some of the roads in Chicago are really bad
Ears you can tune on stock without headers is why I think they put it separately, if you're tuning yourself using tactrix or oft then retuning is no issue
The Header tip is only for non-EU countries. Here in Austria when you change the power of your car by more than 5%, you have to get it re-registered, everything checked and noted in your registration, your engine-tax and insurance rise (tremendously, engine-tax for the normal BRZ/86 with 200hp is 90€ per month already) and if your car gets a lot louder too, you wont even be able to get it registered and the cops can always just take your plates away and prohibit you from driving this car, unless you back-build it And also lowering your car doesnt really work. With an aftermarket exhaust, I cant lower my 86 even 1cm, because then it would be lower than the 9cm minimum ground-clearance that you have to have with your car. If you do it anyways, same thing as above, cops control you, and just take your plates until you make your car higher again
Superchargers do not require a separate aftermarket header because they only affect the intake side of the engine. Turbochargers are different tho I’m not sure how that works lol
if you are going the turbo route, turbo kits usually come with their own turbo manifold, if you are supercharging then you dont need to worry about that.
@@novko1657 it’s the sound within the cabin coming from the low end frequency or bass coming from the exhaust. It’s like a sort of buzzing sound that gets in your ears when you are within the car that’s known as drone.

Yo I know exactly where you were in this video I take this way to work quite often, I also own an FR-S. Dope video bro.
Thanks bro!
Same here whenever I see someone is the Chicago area I immediately start scooping the surrounding to see if ik where they are lmao
Got the invidia r400 exhaust and now paired it up with a 1320 header and I love it next is tune
Get the tune ASAP!
irl vids goin crazy. it’s so funny hearing the same type of commentary over a car mod video🤣
tyed lmao I was thinking the same while editing this 🤣🤣🤣
The windshield wipers on the always on setting and your late af braking makes me so anxious watching this video 😣

I've changed my tires the car was 763km. 245/35R18 and 265/35R18. This car is born the be staggered 😎
Until you realize it understeers and now you need a rear sway bar....
@@devonswindell9735 unless you got diff lock it won't understeer.

I like the inside of your car
AYDEN711 FN thank you!
The car already has good suspension so no need to change that but i think he meant change the suspension height.
Im gettin headers and a tune as soon as this covid-19 shit is over
You end up getting them?
Do you have a good story for us friend? I've been on the list for a Gruppe UEL for a bit, but it keeps getting back ordered.

AleterixT Try putting the seat down more, moving it up closer, then reclining the seat!
Yeah these cars have a weird driving position. I feel like im sitting too close to the steering wheel but its perfect for the pedals.
Then mov your wheel back
Opposite for me I’m too far from the wheel and too close to pedals 😂 but I have long legs
I’m 5”11 and I’m super comfortable in mine
List should of went this way. 1- tune 2- header 3- coilover 4- rims 5- tires.

UEL adds low end torque EL adds top end power
And who is better to get hp? UEL or EL?
@@Lopez244EL, but it wont get rid of torque dip and it will be harder to use that power.

Sounds like you need to move to America 😂
Someone link me the radar detector he’s using.. thing could save my ass from a bunch of tickets lmao
Which one of those headers you mentioned last goes with the turbo and which one with the super charger. I plan to go the super charge route
Superchargers do not require a separate aftermarket header because they only affect the intake side of the engine. Turbochargers are different tho I’m not sure how that works lol
Most turbocharger kits come with a equal length header to attach the turbo to

2:35 "without an aftermarket head unit"
What?
he meant header
Or take all the money and boost it like I did for the first Mod. Suspension came next and I'm working on rims and tires
Tires, Suspension then boost. If I could do it again that’s what I’d do
@@EarsXBL stock suspension was plenty fine with 300 to the wheels. Tires though, I 100% agree with. The first thing you should do is at least tires
