Boy, that 747 landing was majestic
that made me butter my own biscuit
Makin' it look easy.
@@gdehms ayo?
They both were.
That was at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)
WOW! That last crosswind landing was PERFECT! 😮😮
Does a really good job of keeping the upwind wing from raising.
Looked as though it was greeting the spotters.
Как всегда мы впереди всей планеты 👍
Wjow, that 747 crosswind landing was insane! Crabbing till the last feet!
Didn’t even decrab. 747 like the 737 is permitted to land in a crab when the runway is slippery.
@@gort8203Looked pretty wet to me.
It looked a choreographed landing just for the viewing audience 😊
You obviously didn’t watch the video.
@@mitcho04 That can’t be doing the landing gear or the tires any good 😅 I’d be cussing up a storm as a mechanic 🤣 That plane would be tied up for at least a week undergoing an NDI for the landing gear
That 747 landing clap 👏🏾
As soon as I read PC-12 and “incredibly close over terrain” I knew it was St. Barth lol. Being there watching them land on 10 is always exhilarating. This, however, was an exceptionally low approach!
Someone very dear to me stood near the wooden fence while I filmed a TBM making the same approach over her head… had it been this day and this PC-12 she could have easily been hit by the gear or worse. That makes me shiver. Next time we’re on the island I think we’ll watch from the far side of the roundabout.
Yeah just a few inches lower and the gear might have snagged the fence there. That would have been a bad day.
Would love to spend time watching the St Barth landings!
Indeed, they almost did a Maverick style Iranian F-14 short takeoff with « accessory weight dropping ».
Inspired by Aerosucre!
Yeah... I'm getting good at recognizing that fence railing too!
The 747 crosswing landing was PERFECT! Also congrats for the ANA 787-9 crew!
Nippon Cargo....landed like a boss.
I bet his eyes were the roundest they'd been in a while
@@JTA1961 🤣
When a nippon cargo in extreme crosswinds land smoother than a typical ryanair flight
Love the 747. Queen of the skies!
I love how much you can see in the 747 landing. Between the great stability and alignment, the curtain of water kicked up by reverse thrust, and even a little bounce at the tip of the wing that seems like it'll never stop… just perfect!
Great pilots coping with these conditions!! Safe flying everyone!
I love 747’s. The most beautiful commercial / cargo plane ever created.
That 747-8 crosswind landing though!
Even totally skewed, that 747's landing was *butter*. Captain needs a raise!
That 747 landing deserves a round of applause 👏 👏 👏
Nailed that crosswind landing.
Wow!!! Great reaction and decision by the ANA pilots to make to go-around instead of trying to save it.
If they heard there was a 'windshear alert' with a 26-knot loss on short final and they still continued the approach, then they are foolish for taking that risk.
Abort~Abort...
SOP
@@BruiserFL That's what I was thinking...
@@BruiserFL what about 25 knots? it's very easy to pilot from a distance. calling a go around at 10 feet isn't the easiest decision in the world
747 is always the most fascinating plane to watch in every actions
The 747 has an iconic look that is unmatched. Hopefully some will be maintained for another 10-20 years.
@@pripThey're definetly sticking around for more than that, freighters especially
Mumbo...JUMBO
*A380 has left the chat*
I love British humor. "Yeah that's not good" as plane skids down the runway on its belly
It's not our humour, it's our gift for understatement 😂
It'll buff right out, mate
Oi, mate. You can't park there.
The ANA landing with wind sheer didn't go wrong at all. They did the correct thing and went around. The 747 crosswind landing is superb!
If you abort the landing then it obviously went wrong, ffs.
The 747 shadow is just too good. Even the shadow is as meajestic as a queen
Would have been better if the windows were clean 😂
Those Japanese fellas are some pretty fine pilots
The 747-8 landing was beautiful to watch!
Everytime a pilot succeeds at an emergency manoeuvre and the plane itself handles all the forces involved safely, is a testament to the engineering of these airplanes.
What a lovely beautiful airplane the Boeing 747 is! The most amazing and best passenger airplane ever!
My deepest respect for crosswind landings. True work of art.
I know it's their day job, but those ANA 787 pilots deserve a medal. That was a nasty wind shear that made the plane nosedive at the last few seconds of landing. They expertly controlled the plane and didn't even allow it to touch the ground. Very commendable.
It was pilot induced oscillation. That wasn’t wind shear at all. Pilot error.
Ok, that thumbnail wasn't clickbait, very impressive scenes!
Amazing footage, as always. You do a great job. THANKS!!!
The 747 freighter landed so perfectly.
That first windshear one would have been scary as heck! Great job piloting
at 00:19 a bit of the wing looks invisible haha
Exactly what I thought!
Busted! It's clearly CGI.
Wow! What a compilation. I caught myself cheering at times 🤣
The King Air wasn't a gear up landing. All 3 were down. I suspect that the left main had a failure in the cam overlock which caused it to collapse after touchdown.
The best 3 minutes on UA-cam every time, this channel never disappoints
That last 747 landing was so good it looked like CGI!
747 landing…brilliant!
The way the pilots react quickly to windshears and crosswinds is amazing. Major respect for them after being on flights where we encourage them quite a few times.
Great job on the videos as usual.
Tonight I had my first experience with wind shear at landing. These type of videos were the only reason I didn’t freak out! We ended up having to be diverted for a bit. The pilot was great, and explained everything to us, which helped keep people aware of what was happening.
Love this channel so much
Hats off to the NCA pilots for such a wonderful crosswind landing
How pretty that 747 shadow !!
Amazing clips. I enjoy watching all your videos
That 747 landing was 👌☝️
That Nippon crew was fantastic.
Excellent call and implementation on ANA’s go around. Phew.
Great videos. Keep em coming
I dig the airplane drag race. Very slick!
Thanks for assembling these video clips for us! I'm gratified in this instance to see my 'home' airport (Exeter - EXT/EGTE) featured!
Agreed!
I’ll add another WOW to the last video of the 747 landing. Superb!
Nippon Cargo pilot , take a bow sir , excellent flying skills.
Flank you velly much.....
We've been seeing a lot of heavy crosswind and weird wind maneuvers lately: I don't think it's a full moon period, but it sure feels like it.
The moon was pretty full recently
@@RennieAsh it gets that way about once a month.
It's a full moon tonight. Geez.
Climate change
@@natureofnina37 I was looking for the one moron to suggest climate change LOL
thanks again!! Lover yer videos!
747 shadow. What an enjoyable shot
CODE BROWN!! As Kelsey would say.
I always enjoy watching the body language of a go-around. I just imagine the pilots calmly stating, “nope”.
The Nippon Cargo 747 crosswind landing was dialed-in. That Pilot could give a master classes on how it’s done.
Good pilots make great landings...
Congratulations to all af them...
🙂
From Brussels, with Love...
Oh yes Nippon...greased it man!
Nice job from those ANA pilots!
Great video!
Great video mister ❤❤❤
You owe us 5 seconds of aviation
What a boring comment
Unoriginal too
It was funny the first 500 times, now you just sound like @#%@@.
Lol
Danm it
Windshear landing goes RIGHT. Smart go around.
I love 747s. Glad there were two in this vid.
Oh my those conditions at the final 747-8 landing... what a woeful day for flying... wind and rain... yuk!
But gotta love the Spray from the reverse thrust! pulled it up real quick!
The NipponCargo crossind landing is one of the most perfect things ever
Awesome viewing
Good job!
When runway becomes run away. Impressive.
Thank you for sharing.
I like your channel. Did subscribe.
Excellent skills
The 747's shadow was very cool.
What a landing from the Nippon Cargo 747 pilot. Thats something you show to your grandkids
That 747 cargo jet! 👏
you deserve millions subscribers
I swear to god if i see another “you owe us X seconds of aviation” comment I might just uninstall youtube
Looking at the comments, u owe us one uninstall. 🤪
747 Pilots are in a different level. Just wow
Good flying by the ANA pilots at the start
Just the enormous size of the 747 jumbos makes the windshear crosswinds easy to maintain level flight. The 777's on down we can see them wobbling side to side up and down😊
Outstanding save of a 787 by the first flight crew.
Landing on your own shadow!! Wow - what incredibly precise aircraft handling skills!!! 😂😂
00:48 lol yeah after the double DIP dance he earned that fly around.
747 pilot Lou,b impressive 👏👏👏👍👍
What were the winds, and what is the 747 x-wind landing limitation?
Skilled!
That 787 was jiggling around so violently that it looked like an RC plane
That NCA 747 landing... wow
I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to be sitting at the intersection and have seen that PC-12 flying so low.
Now you understand why it’s recommended to use convertible cars in St Barth !
Always best to go around and try again.
@1:12 now THAT'S cool . . I'm impressed 🤘
That 47 landing at the end, what a great aircraft the hog is.
the Beech 200 also had left prop strike as damage
Just to be clear, a gear collapse is not a gear up landing. Always enjoying the comedy provided on this channel.
That last one...that pilot dropped this👑
These crosswind landings are so awesome. Bear in mind that the crosswind limit is likely to be a demonstrated limit when the plane is new but also possibly with maximum load and the CoG furthest forward. To be honest, to me that means that from a planes perspective, even if the cross wind is blowing very strongly, so as long as it is blowing consistently in one direction and not shearing, the big planes will land way above their published crosswind limits. A strong wind blowing consistently in one direction can be a planes best friend if you have a competent pilot.
Technically, it’s not a limit. It’s max demonstrated. Also has nothing to do with the plane being new or old. And the load or CoG is not part of this. Otherwise there would be different numbers for different loads.
There are
I think the very first flight--the ANA at Narita--may have been a flight I was on...
@0:40 - look at that flex!
Its always Narita airport with the bad weather problems haha
There is something absolutely special about Japanese pilots!
