A brisk ride along the coastline as the first of 48 planned rides (one in each county in England).
Good video. From Cucuta city Colombia 🇨🇴 South America
Thank you!
How refreshing to show a folding bike not made by Brompton.Very nice bike.I have a Bickerton portable and it do,,s everything i ask of it.
Thanks - I really think there is something special about this kind of bike, especially when they can be bought for very little money
That is a lovely bike
Cheers. I know very little about it, other than it was made in 1986 and appears to have been all over Europe with previous owners
Beautiful Dahon!
These rides a enjoyable to watch. I like that you include scenes of your food. Thank you. Is this a Dahon bike?
Thanks. I always think the food is an important part of any ride. Yes, it is a Dahon, but I don't know which model and I haven't been able to find out anything about it online.
@8hrAdventures If it's a 7 speed, they sometimes called them D7, or D8, if it was an 8 speed. I don't know a lot about them either.
@@Johann-4354 Thanks. Unfortunately, by the time I got it, it had been converted to a single speed. Looks like it's been all over Europe, as it has stickers from many bike shops on it and I'm guessing it's been changed a lot by all its previous owners.
Did you store your Rhinowalk bag in your backpack while you rode?
Yes - it doesn't pack down all that small, but I still manage to squeeze it into the small backpack along with all my snacks, camera gear, tools and waterproofs
@@8hrAdventures Nice! It looks like it was a fun adventure. I have 20 inch folding bikes. I'm debating getting a 16 inch one in the future. Do you think the right 16 inch folder can hold up for a longer journey (60 km for example)?
@@mrt111 It really was fun. That was about 40km in total, over hills and only single speed. 60km would have been possible but tiring. However, I've done more than 100km on my friend's 3-speed 16" bike (a future video, once I've finished editing it)
@@8hrAdventures It sounds like it will be a nice video. I've seen people do Brompton touring on a 16 inch bike, but not too many are taking Dahon's or other lesser expensive 16 inch bikes on them.
@@mrt111 I have a Brompton clone. The brand is Litepro, I am travelling with it at the moment; decent bike for half the price of a Brompton A line. I've done 50Km/day on it.
Nice ride. What bike computer are you using?
Just a cheap Amazon one: COOSPO BC26 Cycling Computer. Not the best, but does everything I need
Another great adventure, new bike too.
A wonderful part of the country your living in.
Thanks - when the weather is good, it's stunning here. I picked this one up the day after my first ride on a folding bike - I'd had so much fun on the 20" bike I wanted to see how 16" wheels would feel. Exactly the same - they both ride like a dream
