- Welcome to Part 1 of our Puglia vlog! Join us as we explore the beautiful cities of Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, and Matera over the course of three days. We started our journey in Bari, where we landed and made our way to Monopoli, where we spent our first night and dinned at the best restaurand in the city. The following day, we had a delicious breakfast at Bellavista suites in the city centre before heading off to Polignano a Mare, a picturesque seaside town known for its stunning beach.
After a day of exploring, we returned to Monopoli and changed accommodations to another fantastic spot, called Playa del Mar where we had a relaxing afternoon by the pool and enjoyed floating fruit platter before heading to Alberobello in the afternoon. The following day, we drove to Matera, the oldest city in Italy, where we explored the city center and saw some of the famous Sassi cave dwellings. We stayed in Palazzo Degli Abati, one of the best local hotels.
Check out part 2, where we explored Lecce and Ostuni completing our 5 day itinerary.

Came for the Puglia content, got a bit of Basilicata as well. Matera is a town in region of Basilicata. Good work, will use some of the suggestions! Thank you!
Yeah, now we know, it’s an oversight. Unfortunately, it was already made after we found out. Anyway it’s not that far and can be included in the itinerary. And thank you ❤❤❤❤ for your kind words. 😊
Love the video! I’m going to Monopoli in July, can’t wait. Also thank you for showing us where you park, etc, we are renting a car so it’s super useful info
Thank you so much. We are happy that you will go there. It is so magic. Regarding the parking, well, I think we came at the right time when it was free. But probably when you are going there it is going to be paid :)
Meezing good luck 👍
Thanks a lot!
Love your white backpack! Is there somewhere I can purchase? Great video👏🏼💕. Looking forward to watching more of your travel videos to help us plan our trip.
Thank you so much 😊 this one is from @kapten&son an older one but maybe they still got it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you❤
Excelent!
Thank you so much 😊
Can you share the booking of the apartment in Monopoli? Where did you stay? It looks amazing.
It is called Bella Vista and the second one is playa Del Mar :)
nice area .. Would you prefer to visit here, Rome or Venice ?
Depends, the big 3 in Italy is Rome, Venice and Florence. Then you have more localized stuff like the big lates, 5 villages, Tuscany, Puglia, Sicily, Amalfi, Dolomites, and a lot more. If you have never been to Italy, then Rome is the first thing to see, followed by Venice and there is a big space and the third is Florence. I would say Venice could be even more beautiful than Rome but Rome is Rome, it has such historical value you just have to cross it off your list firsts, once you have seen the big ones you go the regions. It’s like going to the states and seeing the Acadia National park before actually seeing the big ones like Yosemite or New York.
It just seems so incredibly tranquil there ~ more so than Rome etc. Plus the beaches. I'd prefer to visit here & fly to Rome & stay 2 days then return to puglia .. Tuscany sounds great too. So much to see
Do you remember how much did you pay for second breakfast in matera? It was looks so nice
We stayed at the hotel so the breakfast was included so we don’t recall. ❤️❤️❤️ yes they were delicious.
@@auldsouls do you have save pin with parkings? I will choose some from your video in next weekend :) if you have you can give it on annotations
@@januszpl909 Parcheggio Piazza Cesare Firrao it was this one.
May I ask where your black bag is from? The one in the beginning of the video? What is the brand?
It is Temba 32l version 1. Hope that helps. I don’t like it that much because it it too heavy, but it has probably the most space for all the gear.
What month did you visit Puglia? I’m going in May. I’m not sure about the weather, cold and rainy?
We went there early April. May should be fine, but yeah, it can rain 🌧️ it can always rain.
you speak Italian? very informative… grazie
Thank you so much. No we don’t just a few words. Like Bella, pizza and a few others :)
What time of year were you in Monopoli?
This was in April 18 :)

Welcome ❤️
What is the name of your hotel in Monopoli
Hello, it is called Bella Vista and the second one is called playa Del Mar.
@@auldsouls thank you so much I love your videos. We are going there in October and we'll definitely look into this hotel.
can you share a copy of the map of Matera ?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the map anymore. Maybe if you do a screenshot from the video. I am sorry. But they do have it at every corner or in any hotel.
Hi! Did you have any problems with the car rental? I’m thinking of renting from them in September. Thank you!
Not really, but we could have had, had we not taken the complete video of the car and later showed them that we did not cause the scratch. So, if you use them make sure to do a full video of the car every corner and also below bumper areas. Otherwise you should be fine. ❤️ enjoy the trip
with which company did you rent the car? Thank you@@auldsouls
@@luisaarenas5561 we usually book with www.economycarrentals.com and they give you a voucher it’s a different company every time. They have the best deals.

Not sure I understand
There is no ocean, you should know.
Yeah, you are right. Well, mistakes happen as English is not my native language.
What ocean??!!! It's Adriatic Sea! Where are you from anyway??
Slovakia, yeah, an oversight. Should have cut that one out.
